Ted Cruz and his allies are preparing for the coming National GOP Convention. According to NBC News, Cruz who recently attended a GOP convention in Texas told his supporters that the days ahead will be "challenging" for the Republican Party. He, however, expressed hope that those who remain loyal to him and the party "will be the remnant, will be the core of pulling this country back from the abyss."
Aside from this pronouncement, [he] has remained mum about whether he will throw his support for presumptive nominee Donald Trump. According to the NBC report, the support of Cruz and his allies in Texas is needed by Trump if he is squaring off with Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton for the presidential elections. A Texan party elder, Steve Munisteri said that "Ted Cruz has led a national movement, a conservative movement. We certainly need solid conservatives to be behind our nominee [Trump.]"
... Cruz and his allies in the Republican Party are EYEING TO CONTINUE THEIR FIGHT TO RUN THE PARTY. Despite his failure to win over Trump, ... he is still hoping that when he attends the National Convention,... he will be able to bring about key changes in how the party governs itself and picks its presidential nominee. Aside from changes in rules, the party will also be working out its "official policy platform" as well as "determine how much power the RNC has to make new rules of its own."
>>The key discussion points, which will also be the likely flash points during the convention, will include CLOSED PRIMARIES. THIS MEANS DOING AWAY WITH OPEN PRIMARIES AND THE "CONSCIENCE CLAUSE," which will RELEASE CONSERVATIVE DELEGATES FROM SUPPORTING THE PRESUMPTIVE DELEGATE, should that delegate represent views that contradict theirs or the party.

What you have said about Jeff Roe has been demonstrated repeatedly along the campaign. he sure lived up to his reputation, and more some. Snake hires a fellow snake and they slither together.
And back to the topic of the article, I’d venture to say that Cruz is raising more snakes and has purchased a brand new big tent.
+1!
Valid point. I try to avoid being judgmental, but Cruz is the proverbial thorn in my side. ;-)
I’ll meet you halfway. He may have been forced to decide which defense sounded better on Tv cameras:
“But, but, but... We DID give back to God. I swear. We just did it privately and didn’t declare it in taxes. I swear...”
Or
(Paraphrased) “I have sinned in my walk with God. All of us have weakness and that is mine. I’ll do better, Lord willing, because my heart is in the right place. God forgives me on a daily basis. That means you have to forgive me too, right? If you’re a ‘GOOD Christian,’ you’ll forget all about this.”
Okay, that’s not meeting you halfway, but I’m trying. Lol!
I think you’re referring to cluster B disorders, which includes antisocial personality disorder, but I want to make it clear again that I don’t think Cruz is at that level at all. Personally, I think it’s more religious-based denial and rationalization with him (along with a heavy dose of narcissism).
Plenty of people do show signs of being a sociopath, though, and yes, the type you’re talking about is mostly men. It’s borderline PD that’s mostly women. Here’s an interesting link:

The Cruz camp blasted out the false report to every caucus location that Carson was suspending his campaign. CNN never reported that; it was a blatant liethe first of many.
——————CNN reporting Carson not going to NH or SC————————————
BREAKING: @moody has learned @realbencarson will return to FL following #IAcaucus, will not go to either NH or SC
A, CNN never reported that Carson was suspending his campaign.
B, both CNN and Carson quickly denied that Carson was dropping out/suspending.
C, The Cruz camp can’t have it both ways. They mocked and derided any Carson supporter that might have been stupid enough to change their vote due to a CNN report. Yet they passed a hyped-up/falsified version of that same report along as fact. They are lying hypocrites.
“A, CNN never reported that Carson was suspending his campaign.”
hmmm. They just reported that he was not going to NH or FL. Sounds like they are saying he is ending his campaign.

Haha. Cruz knew very well Roe had pulled one of his famous dirty tricks. That’s why Cruz apologized. With his legendary people skills (sarc), though, Cruz only managed to make things worse. Thank goodness he won’t be able to pull similar screw-ups in the Oval Office; that’s the last thing the country needs.
Go back and check Carpenter’s twitter feed. She was his campaign communications director.
Amanda was tweeting the news about Carson and added something to the effect of, “guess all his votes go to Ted.” That’s not verbatim, but fairly close. She may have started the rumor.
What about a primary that allows Independents but excludes Dems?
*************
The Texas primary system is similiar but goes one step farther. In Texas you register to vote
with the state, no party registration. On primary day you go to the polling location, present your
registration and if on the approved list the clerk then asks “which party ballot your want?” You
are bound to that party for any runoffs. At the end of the two year cycle you are issued another
voter registration card and the process starts all over. So in essence you choose which party’s
primary you want to vote in each primary season.
It couldn’t be Carpenter; a million Cruz supporters said it was CNN.
Thanks for describing the Texas system. It actually sounds quite good. It would be nice if other states followed suit.
That business in Iowa was nothing compared to the theft of Maine. He was a third place guy that picked up 2,500 or so votes for a ‘win.’
No possible way did he fairly win Maine. Perhaps they got a call from Poppy in Kennebunkport, or it was pre-determined to keep him in the race. <-Fraud.
So true! Once Cruz got a reputation for dirty tricks, it was bound to become harder for him to win legitimately. Dems might not mind a bit of cheating, but conservatives care.
That, btw, is Roe’s problem in national elections. When it’s just one state, Roe can cheat and get away with it. When it’s fifty states, the sleaze starts piling up. What a relief that people caught on, and shifted from Cruz to Trump.
Thanks for the kind word. I almost didn’t see that. ;-)
This guy is so sickening!
Just call Ted “Flipper”.
Cruz is delusional and has the tendencies of a religious cult tyrant after being soundly rejected by the voters, so he must play delegate games of chance in order to prop up his relentless ambition.
Calculation is how he beat Dewhurst in Texas, to gain his US Senate seat, by just holding him under 50% for a run off.
Cruz won the run off, with only FOUR percent (4%) of the TEXAS Republican vote, under the hot summer sun when no one came out to vote big, but the activists.
4% and he thought he should be PRESIDENT! Math and calculation and skirting the edge of propriety and the Rules to win under the table and not in the open field with voters is his go-to tactic.
If it were not for TRUMP, the God-send, this poseur Cruz would be up against Hillary and would align the Democrat Left against himself over night, and solidly. Even Bernie supporters would flog to Hillary to stop this preachy know-it-all.
Thank God for TRUMP.
Honestly, I have cussed open primaries in the past, but this year I found myself thanking God for them, against this delegate flipper.
Cruz wants to keep delegates to win. I want them banished with the covered wagon.
The Democrats tried the same thing in open-primary Indiana, but Trump's voters state-wide clubbed Cruz like a baby Harp seal...
Anyone whop trusts Ted Cruz is a fool, or corrupt.
He is the most vile of deceivers, using the word of God to stir the passions of believers, to aid his personal quest for power.
Not in the interests of the country...maybe not even the interests of himself personally.
But, most certainly, in the interests of the one-worlders and elite masters.
He thinks we're all stupid...and there are millions of Ted worshipers to give credence to that view.
How did this story get put in breaking news today when it was posted 4 days ago? Weird.
