Ive had a full classified briefing from military officials, Forbes told the Free Beacon. It could be as long as a year before we actually get that released.
Details of the abduction are likely to start an uproar in the nation and call into question the Obama administrations handling of the incident, which many experts say violated international and maritime law.
I think that when the details actually come out, most Americans are going to be kind of taken aback by the entire incident, both how Iran handled it and how we handled it, Forbes disclosed. I think thats going to be huge cause for concern for most Americans. Thats why Ive encouraged members of Congress to get that briefing so they do know exactly what did take place.
Forbes suggested that Irans treatment of the U.S. sailorswhich included filming them crying and forcing them to apologize at gunpointmay have been much worse than what has been publicly reported.
I think clearly there were violations of international and maritime law that took place here, Forbes said. We [the United States] did almost nothing in response, in fact, to have Secretary [of State John] Kerry actually thank them for releasing our sailors after they way they captured them, I think was s slap in the sailors face.

UGH, I thought we had a transparent government - release the details now
if it hurts or humiliates America, I am never surprised when Obama does it.
If America had a real President, who had a credible military plan to deal with Iran’s nuclear program, this incident should have been used as a pretext to take out Iran’s nuclear program once and for all.
Bow down Obama !
Bow down in front of your Iranian masters !
Bow down in front of your muslim masters !
Barack Obama, your Iranian muslim masters are telling you to bow down !
Bow down Obama !
Bow down Obama !
Your Iranian overlords are telling you to bow down !
Bow down before your muslim masters !
In which event, consideration of the victims would outweigh the public's need to know the details at that level. The matter could be described as physical torture and inhumane treatment.
Okay, Congressman, if this is such a “huge cause for concern for most Americans,” let us know what it is today. Not in a year.
We SHOULD have standard orders that any potentially hostile vessel that get within a 3 kilometers (about 1.9 miles) of one of our carrier groups on the open seas gets SUNK. But we don’t.
Sigh.
Do you really think any of these young men would admit to that?
Not even ever.
Go TRUMP
Oh....and the Commander was scapegoated for following Obama’s Rules of Engagement.
The mediocrity of this administration is embarrassing, and we want to replace with the Clinton’s? With big Bill in charge of the Economy? Are the people in this country mad? And, we have a group called “Never Trump?” I hope that anyone tied to this is done politically, and any republican not endorsing as well beginning with the @ss hat Ted Cruz.
Any TV or radio personality not endorsing Trump can plan to retire, cause no one, but no one is going to listen to them.
The Obama administration is too ashamed to tell this story to the American people. Iran will pay sooner or later.
I’d wager the sailors involved were ordered to remain silent on the incident even before they were debriefed or provided a medical exam.
Rather than deal with this clear violation, our government chooses to attack states that are trying to preserve religious liberty or prohibit ‘males’ from using he women’s restroom.
Does anyone in Washington believe in the Constitution???

In 1945, our initial primary target list for the first atomic bomb against Japan was:
Kyoto
Hiroshima
Yokohama
Kokura
Niigata
71+ years later, here is a list of primary targets for those Persian pricks:
Tehran
Tabriz
Qom
Bandar Bushehr
Bandar Abbas
And a list of secondary targets for “our friends the Saudis”:
Riyadh
Mecca
Medina
Jeddah
Extra points if someone is able to come up with a workable plan for that sack o’ Kenyan shit AND Jimmy Carter to be on a goodwill tour to Tehran at the time of detonation, AND for Poppy Bush (if he’s still kickin’), GWB and the rest of their motley crew to be visiting Riyadh at the same time.
no. the “shock” was that an American naval officer surrendered his command with out a shot. that is historic.
Why should they? They seen what he went through and who put him through it.
I’m with you.
The only thing that concerns Congress is that their bribes be paid on time.
I have always wondered, since I saw the photos of the commander crying, whether the Iranians raped (or threatened to rape) the lone female on the crew unless they surrendered. If you recall the video of the sailors in captivity, the female sailor was forced to wear a hijab and was cowering against the wall with a blank look on her face.
