Former President Bill Clinton delivered an impassioned defense of both his own foreign policy legacy and that of his wife, Hillary Clinton, who is currently the Democratic front runner for presidential elections later this year.
During a Friday campaign event in Ewing Township, New Jersey, Clinton was heckled over his wife's support for Israel - prompting the former president to hit back, blaming the Palestinians for turning down generous peace offers.
"She and the Muslim Brotherhood president of Egypt stopped the shooting war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza," Clinton responded to the heckler, who had shouted "What about Gaza?" according to Politico.
When the spectator continued protesting - citing comments in which Hillary Clinton rejected Donald Trump's position of staying "neutral" - Bill Clinton responded: "Depends on whether you care what happens to the Palestinians as opposed to the Hamas government and the people with guided missiles."
"They were human beings in Gaza," the heckler continued.
"Yes, they were," Clinton fired back. "And Hamas is really smart. When they decide to rocket Israel, they insinuate themselves in the hospitals, in the schools, in the highly populous areas, and they are smart."
"They said they try to put the Israelis in a position of either not defending themselves or killing innocents," he added, citing Hamas leader's own boastful comments about the effectiveness of their human shield policy during 2014's war with Israel. "They’re good at it. They’re smart. They’ve been doing this a long time."
"I killed myself to give the Palestinians a state," Clinton asserted. "I had a deal they turned down that would have given them all of Gaza."

There was a deal on the table that would have created a Palestinian state with all of Gaza and 95% or more of the west bank area, plus trade lands to compensate for the other 5, and Yasser Arafat came back in the room and turned it down.
He knew that it would be the end of his life if he signed such a deal, because Hamas would have murdered him. When you make a good living being a terrorist, Peace is your enemy.

I remember he did, in fact do that. Netanyahu was willing to give almost everything to Arafat that Arafat demanded, but Arafat chose to launch the Intifada instead.

Bill had struck a deal but made a cultural mistake. He continued to have Yasser Arafat as a guest, the White House’s most frequent one, as a matter of fact. So in Arafat’s culture, he believed he had the favor of the king and therefore didn’t have to settle for the deal he had agreed to. He was looking for a better one, based on what his many visits implied in his world view. Clinton was an idiot not to realize this. (Liberals believe they are so subtle and nuanced and knowledgeable that they never even try to learn more or learn from mistakes.)
There was a video clip of Ehud Barak, Arafat and Clinton in the Rose Garden. In middle eastern culture, the one who enters the door last is the important one. Not knowing this Clinton simply went in first, making him the least important. Arafat motions for Barak to go in next and Barak shakes his finger no. They wrestle and Barak, a beefy guy, throws Arafat through the door. Clinton turns around shocked and the Secret Service guy obviously doesn’t know what to do. Understanding what happened as far as they were concerned makes the clip hilarious. More subtle, nuanced diplomacy from idiots.
Uh, perhaps. But how convenient there was a heckler in the audience that was not only allowed to continually harass Billy, but more importantly, asked questions that were easily answered by Billy.
Smells like a conveniently staged set-up that everybody is accepting without question.
Under normal circumstances, the heckler would have been escorted out by security.
This was a staged confrontation.
