Yes, Fox News gave Trump some air time. But, dare I say, Alpha Male Trump LET them give him some air time.

And it’s a terrible calamity, not a blessing in disguise. Now you’re free to chase skirts, and the free world is free of you.

“..talk about a guy who was terribly over-rated.”

You know, that’s the word I was looking for. Lyin’ Ted was over-rated!

I started out as a Ted Cruz supporter. It was both Ted’s conduct and conduct of Cruz supporters on this forum, as much as listening to Trump that caused me to change my position. Now that that is out of the way.

I think it is possible that Ted Cruz has never really lost at anything before. That’s not uncommon for really smart people who have been basically academics their adult lives and a State solicitor is basically a lot like a legal academic more than a normal lawyer.

In a legal brief or argument before a court you are not required to be likable. The guy just come comes across as unlikable. I don’t think he realizes just how unlikable he appears when he talks. His mannerism, somewhat squeaky voice and demeanor remind me of a younger Hillary Clinton; slimy, duplicitous and obsequious. Maybe that is unfair but I don’t think I’m alone in the perception. Though it would explain how people that supported him could vote for Clinton.

More importantly other than claiming to be the only “consistent Constitutional conservative” (Whatever that means) in the race what did his campaign stand for?

Other than a tax plan which I didn’t like I never heard him speak to issues. I never heard Ted Cruz talk about what he was for. He just complained about Trump. Maybe the Donald set that up; I don’t know; if so Trump out smarted the Harvard Lawyer.

Trump, on the other hand says “This is what I’m gonna do and Ted Cruz was lying when he said I won’t” He’d outline his positions. I found Trump to be more believable and forthright.

I’ve been wrong before

Trump won despite the media, not because of it
Cruz lost because of the media and could not over come it. The moment media focused on Cruz, he couldn’t handle it

Cruz forget that Trump skipped one of the debates because of a fight with Fox News

I was turned off by Cruz disloyalty with his staffers and demanding Trump fire Corey over a hoax

“Ted ended up in second place. He is not going away. Neither are Rubio and a few other guys who do not like Trump.”

If so, what this really says is that they care more about themselves and personally ‘winning’ than about the future of our nation. That, makes them typical politicians, which is why voters on both sides of the aisle have rebelled.

Cruz is so stupid that he thinks that having that limp-wristed queer Shepard Smith accusing Trump of being a liar during his news segments (not opinion!) is positive coverage for Trump. I saw it happen, same s*** Shepard was doing to Herman Cain before the bimbo train derailed him.

Now that I think about it, I take that back. Fox News scumbags going full on anti-Trump for 24/7 probably did elect Trump.

Cruz is not as smart as Donald Trump. At seventy Donald killed Cruz in debates as well.

Goldman Sachs did not fund Cruz.

They were paying his wife half a million a year, not including gigantic bonuses. They gave her a promotion and that salary just 9 days after he was elected with the help of money from a loan, whose terms and conditions have never been seen because Cruz still, to this day, has not filed the paperwork.

Time to grow up, Ted, and understand the idea of moving on. I get that you’re upset - I wouldn’t be happy in your position, either. But sometimes life doesn’t go along with you plans...that is when you have to improvise, overcome and adapt. Either that, or curl up in a ball and cry about it for the rest of your life.

I think that you should stop being bitter and start on the rest of your life...so that you have a future in politics (if that is what you want). You can still have another shot at the Presidency, just like Nixon after losing to the cheating Kennedys, but you have to do it in a classy way or it won’t work. Acting like a whiney teenage girl who got dumped by her boyfriend for someone hot and easy isn’t what I would call classy - not in a U.S. Senator in his mid-40s.

“I’ve been wrong before”

But this time you’re not. Spot on analysis. I also was for Cruz, but he turned me off as much as Trump got me excited about having an actual pro-American President for the first time since Reagan.

I received another $$$ begging letter from Cruz today! He is still running. I don’t trust any of the leaders going into the Convention! Something reeks! I hope I’m wrong.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, ousTED should be thanking Trump. Were it not for Trump we'd be lamenting that we'd have to hold our noses and vote for this year's designated loser, Jeb!

If Trump had never entered the race Cruz would not have gotten as far as he did.
