What? Rejection from the GOP establishment should be embraced as a badge of honor.

Trump neither needs their endorsement or support.

Too be expected after Cruz’s farewell dump the file on Trump “press conference”. Cruz and the rest of the career politicans in the GOPe and their paid for chattering classes simply don’t want a unified party if that means following the Trump agenda.

The Republican Party is much bigger than just a handful of people. If this small group of people cannot get on-board with the GOP nominee chosen by the people, maybe it is time for them to step-down.

I don’t buy the premise of this article. That Trump wanted the imprimatur of the GOP elites and that he feels humiliated that they shun him.

Is this supposed to be a news article?

Under no terms will I vote for a single Republican candidate this, or any other cycle going forward. Trump will be the ONLY vote I cast this year for a Republican.

a phalanx of the party’s most respected figures

He means respected by the left because they can be counted on to cave to leftist positions.

The New York Times continues to over-play their hatred of American Conservative values, of which Donald Trump is now clearly the symbol.

Trump's "sin," in the case of most Republicans still not accepting him, is that he has had the courage to speak truth to the delusions of those intimidated by the "politically correct" mindset, evidenced by such sorry journalism as that of the New York Times.

So long as Donald stands fast, and continues to speak what is true to the pretentious advocates of a sham virtue, his following will grow--and will gradually include at least a sizeable portion of those now skulking & refusing to come on board. But none of the dissidents are worth compromising principle to win over. That really would be a mistake.

This Uniparty spin reminds me of that animated gif of Cruz spinning with his arms up in the air like a botched ballerina.

Thanks for posting this Uniparty spin.

GOPe is quickly pushing themselves into the abyss of irrelevancy. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

"Donald Trump Seeks Republican Unity but Finds Rejection..."

..... Looks like the fun is over and folks are picking up their toys and going home. However, This is where Trump should really begin to shine by displaying those incredible unifying, negotiational and motivational skills that he guarantees that he possesses.

As usual, our leaders prove they cannot keep their words to “We the People”. The all swore they would agree to support the nominee, now that it is Trump, they cannot keep their word. Nothing new here. The people are going to get tired of this. Real FAST.

Yesterday it was the NY SLIMES running a story that Trump cheats at golf.

Today the SLIMES is telling me Trump is being rejected by the so-called leaders of the GOP.

Frankly, as a person who has not been on the Trump Train from the beginning, this constant attack mode is going to turn me into an enthusiastic Trump supporter.

These are those that were serial capitulators, funding obamacare over and over (4 times) . Funding illegal amnesty of 600,000 Mexican children lured here by obama’s illegal executive orders and then they funded their care and feeding to the tune of $17,600 per child per year. These are the republicrats that literally helped pushed our national debt to $20 TRILLION. These are Trump’s detractors. GET OUTTA HERE!!Go Trump !!

Before too long there will be a caisson carrying “41” up Constitution Avenue to the Capitol to lie in state. It’s going to attract a smaller crowd than it might have had he been more gracious this late in the day.
