Sen. Ted Cruz dropped out of the presidential race on Tuesday, making it almost certain that Donald Trump will win the GOP nomination and face Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders in November. For those who've been in denial that this day could ever come, we figured a refresher course on the real estate developer's musings about climate and energy might be in order.
On the basic science: "I am not a great believer in man-made climate change," Trump told the Washington Post editorial board in March. "If you look, they had global cooling in the 1920s and now they have global warming, although now they don't know if they have global warming."
The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.
Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 06, 2012 This very expensive GLOBAL WARMING bullshit has got to stop. Our planet is freezing, record low temps, and our GW scientists are stuck in ice
Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 02, 2014 A panel of scientists ranked all the then-presidential candidates' public remarks on climate for the Associated Press last November. Trump got 15 pointsout of 100.
On climate versus weather: When it was "really cold outside" last October, Trump tweeted that we "could use a big fat dose of global warming!"
On the kind of climate change he is worried about: "I think our biggest form of climate change we should worry about is nuclear weapons." Interpretation: unclear.
On the Environmental Protection Agency: "We're going to get rid of so many different things," Trump said in a February debate. "Environmental protectionwe waste all of this money. We're going to bring that back to the states." But only if he can figure out what the EPA is. Trump said he would eliminate some agency called "Department of Environmental. I mean, the DEP is killing us environmentally, it's just killing our businesses."
On clean energy:
Not only are wind farms disgusting looking, but even worse they are bad for people's health bit.ly/I9Dl8k (cont) tl.gd/h46200
Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 23, 2012 Wind turbines are a scourge to communities and wildlife. They are environmental disasters.
Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 23, 2012 On clean energy when campaigning in clean-energy-heavy states: Trump told an Iowa voter that he's okay with wind subsidies. "It's an amazing thing when you thinkyou know, where they can, out of nowhere, out of the wind, they make energy."
On the Paris climate accord signed by 175 countries: "One of the dumbest things I've ever heard in politicsin the history of politics as I know it."
One doesn’t need to know science, only math, to understand that we don’t have any basis on which to prognosticate a global warming.
It is the old algebraic conundrum. You cannot solve for N variables if you have less than N equations. We can’t account for even our historical climate changes yet, let alone what is going on right now. Nobody knows what the sun did, or what other factor was involved — the slyentists are ass-u-me’ing that it all had to be local factors when there is no proof!
I am glad Donald says that wind turbines and solar panels are disgusting-looking, not to mention the former kills MILLIONS of birds, mostly raptors. Covering the Earth with solar panels should OUTRAGE environmentalists! And what about the reflected heat? Has anyone studied THAT? What about wind patterns (ground effects) disturbed by wind turbines, has anyone studied THAT?
I hope we get to see The Donald make a complete fool of that lying gasbag Tubby Riefenstahl (Michael Moore) somewhere along the way.
It’s the story of a rage and a fad. Posterity will laugh if it isn’t crying at the loss.
Sure doesn’t sound like a liberal to me, Teddy Cruz and the #NeverTrump Band.
Like us True Nonbelievers he calls it Global Warming , \o/
She has no choice since his words “tend toward violence” toward the hapless muslims.
Because it is.
Is that ozone Im smelling?
It sure is: http://www.freerepublic.com/~blowfish/

Absolutely is. They worship the earth.
Everyone believes in something, even if it’s not recognized as a traditional organized religion.
Me too.
Donald Trump Thinks Global Warming Is “B***S***”
...just like every thinking person.

No. It doesn’t fit the definition of religion
It is science. Either it’s true or it’s not
God created the earth. He sets the rules. He puts mystery, supernatural phenomena and even His Son, who defied death The there is science. Facts. It is not a mystery nor a matter of faith that sets tge rules for global warming it either is or it isn’t. I choose to wait until it’s proven scientific fact and I don’t see that happening. I live on an island. The shoreline hasn’t budged in 50 years that I’ve beenlooking at it. Yet I believe in the supernatural of my catholic religion. Tgey are not scientific
“...Shhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! I've made tens of millions off that picture!”

Yeah the expensive sea-side property is a bit suspicious. But I think the AGW hypothesis was first properly falsified by the lag in the ice core records of temp vs CO2 which came to light around 2000 or so. Since then its been a zombie theory in regard to science animated solely by political motivations.

That’s your opinion. I know plenty of kooks who treat it as a religion. That’s why they get so offended when you question it.
Nothing the climate scientists haven’t said themselves, in other words.
