Sen. Ted Cruz dropped out of the presidential race on Tuesday, making it almost certain that Donald Trump will win the GOP nomination and face Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders in November. For those who've been in denial that this day could ever come, we figured a refresher course on the real estate developer's musings about climate and energy might be in order.
On the basic science: "I am not a great believer in man-made climate change," Trump told the Washington Post editorial board in March. "If you look, they had global cooling in the 1920s and now they have global warming, although now they don't know if they have global warming."
The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.
Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 06, 2012 This very expensive GLOBAL WARMING bullshit has got to stop. Our planet is freezing, record low temps, and our GW scientists are stuck in ice
Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 02, 2014 A panel of scientists ranked all the then-presidential candidates' public remarks on climate for the Associated Press last November. Trump got 15 pointsout of 100.
On climate versus weather: When it was "really cold outside" last October, Trump tweeted that we "could use a big fat dose of global warming!"
On the kind of climate change he is worried about: "I think our biggest form of climate change we should worry about is nuclear weapons." Interpretation: unclear.
On the Environmental Protection Agency: "We're going to get rid of so many different things," Trump said in a February debate. "Environmental protectionwe waste all of this money. We're going to bring that back to the states." But only if he can figure out what the EPA is. Trump said he would eliminate some agency called "Department of Environmental. I mean, the DEP is killing us environmentally, it's just killing our businesses."
On clean energy:
Not only are wind farms disgusting looking, but even worse they are bad for people's health bit.ly/I9Dl8k (cont) tl.gd/h46200
Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 23, 2012 Wind turbines are a scourge to communities and wildlife. They are environmental disasters.
Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 23, 2012 On clean energy when campaigning in clean-energy-heavy states: Trump told an Iowa voter that he's okay with wind subsidies. "It's an amazing thing when you thinkyou know, where they can, out of nowhere, out of the wind, they make energy."
On the Paris climate accord signed by 175 countries: "One of the dumbest things I've ever heard in politicsin the history of politics as I know it."
On this issue, I stand with Donald.
The system of educated lies can be seen by anyone with an open mind. For some, the concept of G.W. has become a new pagan religion, one that has a mission statement to punish non-believers.
Oh boy, he’s stepped in it now.
Trump dare sayeth the earth is not flat.
Fire And Chain Him!
I wouldn't have used such a mild term but The Donald IS running for president and has to be more diplomatic.
Ah!
Fresh air!
The “manmade global warming/climate change” fanatics are going apeshit that Trump is the nominee....
Not only will Trump hurt the “professional politician elitists” in Washington, he is going to Trump tramp on these eco nuts.....
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!
That should offset the global warming shi’ite!
“Not only are wind farms disgusting looking, but even worse they are bad for people’s health”
And birds, like the Bald Eagle.
Saying it like it is: “It’s the weather STUPID”....I love Trump and his way of saying things....
Global Warming guru Algore wearing his ever present Nobel medal is seen here en-route to an important scientific conference in Nassau hosted by the UN/IPCC where he was to be the keynote speaker.
Topics on the agenda were to have included Finding a Good Bail Bondsman, Not ALL Criminal Lawyers Are Sharks, Changing Careers for Dummies, You Want Fries With That?, How To Encrypt Emails, The Best Prison Jobs, Getting Along With Your Cellmate and Getting Used to Sleeping On Your Back.
A sudden and unfortunate blast of what the scientist in charge of the conference termed global warming caused the meeting to be rescheduled until Algore can be thawed some time next Spring assuming there will BE one.
And there will be a special opposing view presentation entitled "PLEASE DON'T SUFFOCATE US BY DENYING US OUR CO2" by several large ficus plants representing the oxygen giving plants of the world!
Our reporter has learned that the influential conservative web site Free Republic has launched a contribution drive to rent a freezer locker in which to keep Gore for the 10 to 15 years estimated it will take for the so-called mainstream media to begin covering the Climategate story.
Someone needs to remind alarmists that New York was under a mile of ice last freeze cycle.
Doesn’t matter what anyone thinks it is a theory. Hasn’t been proven
It’s treated like a religion
Great minds think alike. I like the way he thinks. He can singlehandedly take down the globull warming scam. Sic’em Trump.
Finally, an article that brings everyone on FR together - even diehard Cruz supporters will hopefully feel encouraged by this article! However bummed out you may be, all is not lost and something really is better than nothing.
It probably didn’t help the Manhattan cocktail parties any...except for the ice cubes, of course.
:>)
Good bye EPA.
The machine at work. Greenies will be informed of Trump’s anti-manmade climate stand. Latinos will be made aware of Trump’s immigration stand. Christians will be told about Trumps lack of enthusiasm about outlawing abortion. Women will be alerted to Trump’s divorces and statements about women. The bully. The non-experienced foreign affairs guy. The bankruptcies.
All the one-issue groups will be fed whatever lines will get them hot and bothered enough to stay home or vote for someone else. All the while, the MSM covers for the dem candidate.
And?
It’s time to stop preaching this Global warming cr** to our kids in OUR schools.
