A number of prominent Republicans are vowing to never back Donald Trump even as he closes in on the GOP presidential nomination.
The Never Trump ranks include lawmakers, party operatives, pundits and GOP donors and the movement even sparked a popular hashtag on social media.
They are convinced Trump as standard-bearer would lead the GOP to a devastating defeat in November, costing the party the Senate and potentially the House.
The real estate mogul, though, is marching ahead, and now has 994 of the 1,237 delegates needed to capture the nomination, according to the Associated Press.
And there are growing signs many in the GOP establishment are warming to Trump. Hes been endorsed by 11 lawmakers, with others regularly attending Capitol Hill meetings with his staff. Trump has also declared himself the presumptive nominee.
Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus has criticized the Never Trump movement as well. It is essential to victory in November that we all support our candidate, Priebus said at the RNCs spring meeting.
Trumps opponents are focused on trying to deny him the delegates needed to secure the nomination in hopes of forcing a contested convention in July.
Heres a list of Republicans who wont back Trump as nominee.

He sure did. One day he started his show by saying that #NeverTrump were crazy and would cost this country the election. The very next day, after Roger Stone wrote an article on the payola given to talk radio hosts, Levin proudly said that he was now #NeverTrump. He was too stupid to see the hypocrisy in his statement.
Notice how many are “former”!
How does George Will have the colossal nerve to trash Trump after he invited Obama to dinner at his house?
Brad Thor is the biggest surprise on the list to me. I have loved every one of his books. He shocks me because Trump loves the military. But if Thor can’t vote to protect me from Hillary, I can’t support his career as an author.
Ill take Trump, warts and all.
good post..comport nicely with my own beliefs; problem is, the Dems start out the election with basically 247 electoral votes in the bag...
a pretty big hill for any one person to surmount; but I’m glad we’ll get the chance to see Trump try it...
I hope you are correct. I heard Mr. Trump mention this past week the need to start raising funds to support local candidates for the fall election.
Wow! Has he ever created an environment for a whole breed of new candidates.
Mr. Trump needs to put Sarah Palin in charge of molding what remains of the party into a new structure. She did it in Alaska well.
They are all voting for Globalist Hillary.
We voted for THEIR dufis twice and got Obama for 8 years of USA destruction. And they can’t vote for OUR GUY just once? I had high hopes for some if these people...Pavlich, Goldberg, Levin...no heroes left, I guess. Amazing what Trump has exposed.
I don’t see how it is their fault. They said all along they wouldn’t vote for Trump, and the party selected him anyway. Fault goes to those who nominate a probable loser.
Business as usual won’t cut it.
Smash the domestic enemy
Not talking concentration camps or mass executions
Just harassment and taking away their ability to wage war on normal Americans.
What do you propose, going to Congress and the courts?
LOL, won’t work.
If you recall, Pappy Boyington [Gregory]once said, “Show me a hero and I will show you a bum.” Since I consider him to be a hero, I figured that he knew what he was talking about.

I'm not so sure they have near 247 in the bag. We are in a different world now. My reasoning here is not that there aren't more "takers" within the electorate, it's that as we see with the Bernie and Trump phenomena, THEY AREN'T HAPPY EITHER.
A cursory examination of the turnout measurements in both Dem and Rep primaries shows that the verve, the enthusiasm is definitely shown to be a rejection of the Obama years, an intense one, bringing in new voters and causing other, traditional liberal voting blocs to stay home. This is why Hillary is performing so badly.
Will Trump win New York? Probably not, but New York is in play, meaning "purple" states, based on turnout, could turn red.
We really need to run against Hillary. Hillary allows us to run against Obama's policies without the racial guilt factor. Bernie is not as indelibly tied to the Obama years. If Hillary runs, we win. Bernie scares me, he could conceivably get all the takers to the voting booth. And we all know how that ends up. I say go Trump, and go Hillary.
LOL, but it’s only a starter list, you can post the next one.
“Someone has to get it through Trumps head that we are a Constitutional Republic. He has no clue. He thinks he will be a monarch.”
Can you cite me a candidate for president who always prefaced his remarks with “if Congress permits me”? Do you really think someone could get elected by doing that?
I just listened to KRLA morning answer. Ben Shapiro is as delusional as Will. “I have been debating with Dennis Prager”. LOL. Prager is a realist. Shapiro is delusional.
It’s a blog. I doubt they ever listen to Levin. I want references for each person in the list with a direct quote.
I found Levin saying “count me as never Trump.”
Question, is it easier to make a new building with
A. implosion of the old,
B. restoring the original by keeping the valuables and stripping the cosmetics and rot, or
C. gutting and leaving the facade which destroys the original craftsmanship?
No but I can cite you a candidate who was on TV recently with his son and both of them were screaming about “our country is a democracy”!! Just because they were outmaneuvered in the delegate hunt. The stupid was flowing that day.
Cowards, all of them.
