Donald Trump on Tuesday alleged that Ted Cruz’s father was with John F. Kennedy’s assassin shortly before he murdered the president, parroting a National Enquirer story claiming that Rafael Cruz was pictured with Lee Harvey Oswald handing out pro-Fidel Castro pamphlets in New Orleans in 1963.
A Cruz campaign spokesperson told the Miami Herald, which pointed out numerous flaws in the Enquirer story, that it was “another garbage story in a tabloid full of garbage.”
“His father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald's being — you know, shot. I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous,” Trump said Tuesday during a phone interview with Fox News. “What is this, right prior to his being shot, and nobody even brings it up. They don't even talk about that. That was reported, and nobody talks about it.”
“I mean, what was he doing — what was he doing with Lee Harvey Oswald shortly before the death? Before the shooting?” Trump continued. “It’s horrible.” Trump’s tangent followed his rebuke of Rafael Cruz using the pulpit to court evangelicals for his son. “I implore, I exhort every member of the body of Christ to vote according to the word of God and vote for the candidate that stands on the word of God and on the Constitution of the United States of America,” Rafael Cruz said in a video clip aired by Fox News. “And I am convinced that man is my son, Ted Cruz. The alternative could be the destruction of America.”

Cruz's father is actively campaigning against Trump and proclaiming that all Christians are bound by their religion to vote for Cruz. In my opinion, he's fair game.
Has anyone asked Cruz about Beck’s Cheetos’ face yet? Would be very curious to hear his thoughts on this. /s
I fully see your point as well. It seems we are so inundated by PC that we either look like bully a**es or just smile and take it. The PC crowd has us this way about blacks, illegals, gays, transgenders everything.
I admire Trump’s guts to just speak the truth. Many of us myself included try to not step on toes yet not be PC and it is an almost impossible task.
At my age which is old I was taught to “be nice”. No doubt my parents never dreamed how that would be twisted by liberals.
Did you actually read what was said? he called the story ridiculous. Politic Lied like media does by omitting that part. Just like they lied about him shooting somebody. You should know to never trust the media to tell the whole truth when they have an agenda like here.
The soros mobs are worse, no doubt. And I lump pretty much the entire progressive left together with them because that’s who they are.
I said I’d vote Trump if it comes to that in the general. This is why.

We should never be politically correct. But we need to choose our battles.
Yes but I think it needs to be brought up. It is very brave of Donald to bring it up. Since the man in the photo has gone unidentified all these decades, perhaps now the case should be reopened from this enlightenment.
Anytime new possible evidence cones to light it should be investigated by the CIA or FBI. AMericans deserve answers. Just like nazi war criminals have had to be tried for their crimes 50 years later.
We the people deserve answers.

Trump mentions it as a prod, a needle.
If Cruz responds, defending his father, his father is now part of the conversation.
And with that comes his admitted history with Castro. With that comes the Canadian sojourn. And also with that comes his recent statements about anointing.
None of which help Ted.
This story is still complete and total nonsense, but it keeps coming back.

On another thread I commented that is was "scary" that Trump said that Cruz's father should not even be allowed to say the voters should choose Cruz for religious reasons, and a TrumpTrooper said it was scary that I thought that was scary.

Hillary, in response to a comment Trump made, dismissed him saying Trump previously made statements questioning Obama's birth certificate. Comments like this from Trump will be taken out of context, which is why the usual politician is very careful about what he/she says. On the other hand, Trump's spontaneity is what his supporters like about him.
So it looks like Raphael Cruz worked for the CIA at one time.
So did Obama’s mother and her father. She was an anthropologist and would go to countries (like Indonesia) and report back on the outer villages and where their sympathies laid (in the guise of being an aid worker.) Her father’s history goes way back. It’s all spelled out in the book “Manufacturing of a President.”

I had a client who was indicted for four murders. He skated, but I think he probably did them. Can’t live in Vegas for long without bumping into some hood.
Cruz was a well known anti-Castro activist in New Orleans and Miami at the time,and Oswald ran the local chapter of “Fair play for Cuba”,a commie front group.The famous photo documents the time that Oswald crossed the street in order to confront the anti-Castro guys during the Summer of 1963.Oswald always went out of way to ostentatiously call attention to the fact that he was a proud communist and Castro supporter.Was he sincere or creating a “legend”,as it is known in intelligence circles is at the heart of the assassination.
