I saw a post where Cruz spent $6 million in Indiana for an all out win. So that would leave him with only $2 million on hand. By the way that does not count the Cruz PAC money that was spent on him. Trump has no PAC money.

Some of the worker bees, like Ed Rollins, are calling him "toxic." Get enough of that, and get some from politicians, then it doesn't matter what Cruz says, he's branded. Cruz can't get out of it the way that Trump did. He lacks the charisma and personality.
