CHICAGO - It's hard to imagine what Morgan Hill is feeling right now. She's not quite sure herself. How can you possibly process the fact you were born, wrapped in a towel, put into a trash bag and left in a dumpster to die - all before you were a day old?
Morgan's parents told her that she was adopted when she was young, but didnt give details. They knew she wanted to know more, and planned to tell her after high school graduation.

Morgans biological mother had hidden her pregnancy, delivered quietly at home and then tried to get rid of the baby so no one would know.
Morgan learned shed been found in a dumpster, tied up in a trash bag double knotted at the top.
Shed been left to die.

She read how a construction worker named Garold Hyatt - known to his friends as Rocky - found her while taking a last load out to the dumpster. He heard a whimper. And then heard it again. The compilation of articles all described the same thing. He moved closer to the sound and then saw a white trash bag twitch. He got nervous and ran to the nearby hospital for help.
Three nurses came running. One of them, Carol Szafranski, opened the bag and saw a healthy, blue-eyed baby girl inside.
The multitude of articles described how nurses named her Mary Grace, how authorities caught her biological mother, who was sitting in jail awaiting a trial, and how her biological father never even knew there was a baby until the mother named him in court.

It’s rather like the simple statement: Let’s Eat Grandma or Let’s Eat, Grandma. Commas, correctly used, could become editor’s best friends. Too bad they seem to be missing from too many people’s keyboards.
Yep, that’s the exact one dfwgator used.
Ah, man, hits you in the feels. God bless ‘em.
For Pete’s sake, I understood it and I’m sure you did too but just thought you were being funny.
Sometimes headlines work, sometimes they don’t. They’re very compressed, which is a challenge, and you probably couldn’t write them either.
But maybe reading the story would have helped, because it was excellent and very touching, ignorant jeering aside.
What amazes me is that these news organization have to much sympathy for a Birth+1 baby and virtually no sympathy for a Birth-1 baby.
Of course we understood it. It was bad enough to crack a few jokes.
Titles like this are sometimes written in this fashion to compel people to read the article to see what the heck the article is about.

I’d say you are too kind here. Headlines like this are the result of carelessness IMO.
I probably am. Every now and then I try to play the nice guy, LOL. Usually doesn’t happen with the press though. Must be my thrill that Trump is thumping Cruz finally, and has put me into a more forgiving mood.
If you ever get a chance, get the movie “The Drop Box”.........
