Ted Cruz’s Support Softens Among the Delegates He Courted
NY Times ^ | May 1, 2016 | JEREMY W. PETERSMAY

Even as Donald J. Trump trounced him from New Hampshire to Florida to Arizona, Senator Ted Cruz could reassure himself with one crucial advantage: He was beating Mr. Trump in the obscure, internecine delegate fights that could end up deciding the Republican nomination for president.

“This is how elections are won in America,” Mr. Cruz gloated after walking away with the most delegates in Wyoming.

But it turns out that delegates — like ordinary voters — are susceptible to shifts in public opinion. And as the gravitational pull of Mr. Trump’s recent primary landslides draws more Republicans toward him, Mr. Cruz’s support among the party’s 2,472 convention delegates is softening, threatening his hopes of preventing Mr. Trump’s nomination by overtaking him in a floor fight.

Cruz will be damn lucky to go into Cleveland with HALF the delegates of Trump. He will need to double his support from the establishment to offset the ass beating he got from actual voters.
People are now wise to this and are moving towards Trump to prevent Lying Ted’s Scorched earth campaign.

No one in DC will speak to him, he will be shamed in Texas, he will get divorced and finally leave the senate in disgrace.

He COULD have been a VP or a USSC Justice a few months ago. Now he has marginalized himself to the point that that he’ll be lucky to get reelected to the Senate in Texas.

Cruz will be lucky to go into Cleveland with half the delegates that Trump has and the margin will be too big for him to even steal it.
Besides, Trump will go into the convention with 1300 after the landslides to come. Tuesdays going to be a disaster for Lying Ted.

Over the last few days he apparently got some undesignated delegates (I’m guessing Carson’s). He tweeted this out yesterday.

He got several over the weekend, tweeting it out. He didn’t say where, but I bet from Carson.

Our lone congressman, Kevin Cramer, endorsed Trump at the ND state convention. There has been speculation that Cramer might be tapped for energy Secretary. He is very pro oil, gas and coal.

For Limbaugh and Beck and Levin, it comes down to optics: they didn't create Trump

I would not lump these three together is any way

Rush does not have TDS...Rush is not anti Trump by any GOPe, National Review, George Will standard ....But Trump is Rush's second choice..Rush is pro Cruz not anti.Trump.... that a major difference...when Trump get the nomination Rush going to be one of your best allies he's going to come on big for Trump mark my words

Beck on the other hand is patient zero of Trump derangement syndrome Beck has been insane from the get-go screaming the guys the next Adolf Hitler....Beck the original Anyone But Trump.....Beck will campaign for some third-party candidate or even Hillary over Trump

Levin.is in the middle between Rush and Beck...Levin is going to sit and pout...he won't support Trump but he probably is just going to sit this out

Continue his career as professional politician, who has accomplished NOTHING in US Senate, but fools the gullible into thinking Cruz can accomplish consevatve things. His record of MEANINGFUL conservative accomplishments is very close to a big fat Zero. I can count on my left hand how many of his colleagues actually like and admire this self-centered Elmer Gantry Jr, and have fingers left to spare.

A person who actually has created 100,000+ middle class lobs, has actually built real structures people like to live in and play in, has defeated all CAREER POLITICIANS who talk a lot and accomplish nothing. Rafael Ted Cruz has accomplished a BIG FAT ZERO in 4 years in US senate.

Cruz’s future? Debating coach at some non-descript college.

For Limbaugh and Beck and Levin, it comes down to optics: they didn't create Trump and Trump in fact shows how powerless they are. They can't stand it that they have been revealed to their audiences as incompetent and wielding zero real influence.

You nailed it. They made themselves fat and wealthy on conservatism.
