Obama-Netanyahu Rift Impedes U.S. Offer of Record Aid Deal for Israel
New York Times ^ | 4/28/16 | Julie Hirschfeld Davis

President Obama has proposed granting Israel the largest package of military aid ever provided by the United States to another nation, but he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remain deeply at odds over a figure for the assistance despite months of negotiations.

American officials have balked as their Israeli counterparts insisted on more generous terms for a new 10-year military aid package that could top $40 billion. The divide, which could have broad national security implications for both the United States and Israel, is exacerbated by the pent-up animosity between Mr. Obama and Mr. Netanyahu, which has been stoked by their radically divergent views of the nuclear deal with Iran.

Netanyahu and Obama may hate each other but I doubt that Israel will get a better deal under President Trump. They should probably get it locked in before November.

(JPS) ... Deu 15:4 Howbeit there shall be no needy among you - for the LORD will surely bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it - 5 if only thou diligently hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all this commandment which I command thee this day. 6 For the LORD thy God will bless thee, as He promised thee; and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow;

Deu 28:13 And the LORD will make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if thou shalt hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them; 14 and shalt not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. 15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee. ...

So if this Zionist state is of God, then how come they borrowing and not lending as God promised? How come they are the biggest welfare receiving nation in the world? And FYI... the ‘voice of the LORD thy God’ is none other than Christ, the Son of God the Father... Acts 7:38-39, Hebrews 3-4, John 1:1-18 (vv 10-13, 18), 3:13. From the beginning, it has always been the Son acting on behalf of the Father, doing what the Father gave Him to do by coming in the Father's Name. And He will continue in this work given to Him until all has been accomplished and the Father then comes to reign over all, including the Son. 1Cor 15:25-28, Rev 21:3

Really? Why do you believe that?

Because Trump is on record saying that Israel needs to pay more to the U.S. for her defense, not get more.

BS. Meanwhile, Obama is a Muslim and Muslims hate Israel. Simple enough to understand.

Netanyahu should just put a hold on everything until the imposter is out of office.

Israel doesn’t pay America for it’s defenses. The grants they are given are moved right back to our military industrial complex who supply them with our hardware. But then on the other side of the coin Israel take what we give them, improves the product and shares the tech with US. For Donald it’s got to be seen as a good INVESTMENT:-)

You must be kidding?

These are loans that can only be spent buying American weapons, some of which are inferior like the J35.

Obama never does Israel any favors. He delayed re arming the IDF during last Summer’s Hamas attacks.

Show me where Trump ever said Israel should pay more?

We don’t protect Israel, never have. They pay off these loans with interest. Did you know Israel is a big purchaser
of T-bills? They help finance our debt.

We deny them getting F22 which is closer to their needs than the J35 lemon.

And you expect a President Trump to change that?

Show me where Trump ever said Israel should pay more?

here, here, here, and here. Most are Israeli sources.

Since he's on record as saying Israel should pay more then maybe Trump wants more for his investment?

What makes you think that? Are you hoping Trump is anti-Semitic, and/or you are anti-Semitic. Trump, having no philosophical core, will do what he perceives his supporters want, which means we need to pay for Israel's security since we signed that horrible Iran deal.

So, Trump, having insisted the mother should be punished if she aborts her child, because he assumed that is what the pro life proponents would want, had to back track when he found out that the pro life folks have never advocated punishment for the mother. That is how it works with Trump. He doesn't always know what he should know, but he will learn over time and his supporters will learn over time, that he is not always what the supporters think he is.

He will build a wall and anything after that is gravy.

I’m hoping that Trump is anti-Semitic? No. And I don’t think he is.
Am I anti-Semitic? Hardly. I don’t know how you got that idea since I’m a strong supporter of Israel.
Trump may want Israel to pay more for defense. I think Israel buys equipment from us but we don’t have bases there like we do in Germany, England, Italy, and others.
Trump could hardly be worse than Obama toward Israel.

I agree with a lot of what you say about Trump not having much of a core. He’s played the political game and contributed to who he thought he had to get want he wanted.

And yeah, build the wall.
