A sign posted in a Target bathroom stall cautioned female customers that men can now use the womens restroom because of the companys recent policy. The sign left many people baffled and outraged.
The sign was posted in the women’s restroom in a Keizer, Oregon Target. It read:
Attention Ladies:
Target Corp. has publically announced that Men may now use the Womens restroom (and vice versa), no questions asked.
The sign further implored other customers to please be cautious and to report suspected hidden cameras and loitering or peeping individuals. In addition, it called on parents to use [their] good judgment about sending children or teens to the restroom alone.
One customer Nathalie Olds found the sign over the weekend and was confused by it, not realizing that it was probably posted by a protester. I took it as fact. Heterosexual cisgender men were allowed in the bathroom now, she said.
When she checked Targets policy on restrooms, she saw that transgender people were allowed to use whichever restroom corresponded to their gender identity. Then, she became angry.
She was deeply offended that whoever posted the sign didnt understand that a transgender man that is, a woman who identifies as a man is not a woman. She or he should be allowed to use the mens restroom. And vice versa.
Olds concluded that the perpetrator responsible for the hateful sign must have been transphobic.
I realized it was obviously somebody who was transphobic or somebody who wanted to basically state that transgender women are men and that’s not ok with me, she said.
Target is investigating the matter to find out who is responsible for putting the sign up. Meanwhile, Olds said that she will not be shopping at that Target location until she knows for certain that the person responsible for the atrocity is not a Target employee.
Moral absolutes?
When she checked Targets policy on restrooms, she saw that transgender people were allowed to use whichever restroom corresponded to their gender identity.Dear Natalie, Please describe any demonstrable difference between a "transgendered" man and a "cisgender" man who is just claiming to be one in order to gain access to the women's restroom.
I think who ever posted the warning is spot on. Target allows “trans gender” freaks to use whichever bathroom they want to. Think this is only a sympathetic move for those poor confused souls? Who defines trans gender, and gender identity? What are the minimum criteria? Suppose I walk in there, full-blooded 100% male but I say I’ve decided to identify as a woman and I’m just starting my journey of transformation? You don’t want to discriminate against me, right? So literally anyone can claim to be anywhere on the spectrum and Target’s policy will allow them to “go” where ever they please.
Heterosexual cisgender men
cisgender ????????
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
Help? I really don’t want to ‘waste’ anytime looking it up, just want to see if ‘they’ slipped a new word in on me?
It is so confusing...
Like the cartoon from the other day with a ‘face palming’ R Reagan saying
“7 years of obama and we don’t know which bathrooms to use”
Strange, I’ve yet to see a transgender woman in the men’s room.
The offended customer is obviously a plant. What normal human being would have a vocabulary that includes “cisgender” and “transphobic”??? Wonder if she put up the offending sign?
Ok, I meant to say a transgender man. I’m new to this crap.
So do claustrophobics get to pee in the aisles?

I agree. The way she/it targeted certain media sources in Oregon was a tip off.
Yes we do :-)
And if you report a male filming women in the (formerly) women’s restroom, the police will investigate YOU and you’ll probably be accused of a hate crime and required to take diversity training.
What normal person would label this an “atrocity”?
God forbid anyone state the truth!
Stolen.
So.... why can’t these people of the ‘confused sexual status’ go to the same bathrooms they used to go to ?
Homos, Cross dressers, hermaphrodites have been with us since the beginning of recorded history and they had to go to the toilet somewhere.
What we’re going to end up with is a whole bunch of uni-sex one-holers which I hate. I do not like going to the bathroom on a toilet that a man I don’t know has just used.
Before anyone gets on my case, my experience is that I raised two sons.
Target - can you hear America's parents?
