On Sunday night, the campaigns for Ohio Governor John Kasich and Texas Senator Ted Cruz released simultaneous statements declaring an alliance of sorts aimed at taking on the runaway frontrunner, Donald Trump.
Jeff Roe from the Cruz campaign released the following statement details exactly how the arrangement would work:
To ensure that we nominate a Republican who can unify the Republican Party and win in November, our campaign will focus its time and resources in Indiana and in turn clear the path for Gov. Kasich to compete in Oregon and New Mexico, and we would hope that allies of both campaigns would follow our lead.
The divide-and-conquer policy would allow for Cruz to focus his campaign infrastructure in Indiana while Kasich tackles Oregon and New Mexico. We will shift our campaign resources West, clarified the Kasich camp is its statements.

And now, enter a third candidate with no hope of derailing the Trump Train: Carly Fiorina, who was named as Cruzs VP choice in the event he miraculously wins the GOP nom. Either Fiorina isnt quite caught up on how the Cruz campaign has been playing politics as of late or the whole Oregon/New Mexico/Indiana debacle is already deemed a likely failure because Fiorina relayed to MSNBCs Hallie Jackson a strange message about her campaigns unlikely bedfellow from Ohio.
Jackson asked, How are two people who have not been able to beat Donald Trump yet better than one person how hasnt been able to beat Donald Trump?
After some jockeying about the states where Cruz has been victorious, Fiorina pivoted and took aim at Kasich. I actually think the person you should be asking this question to is John Kasich. He didnt get the memo. When you cant win, you need to get out.

LOL !!
John Kasich has shown that he can beat Ted Cruz in state after state, in five of the last six elections held. Who isn’t getting the memo?
They are the Outsource Twins.
Good to see you, sjb.
Good to see you as well.
What a nutcase that poster was.
He's not been on the same message since prior to Iowa. Statements from his campaign contradict each other from week to week, sometimes from day to day.
Combining a nasty personal tone, a condescending attitude, a very strange perception of reality, and continuing contradictions is a formula for losing an election.
What I'm still wondering is will this guy, with support from the GOPe, run Third Party?
Orly? How interesting...
Vote Trump
Jim gave her so many chances to regain her composure here, but she just didn’t have it in her.
“Gee, that Cruz-Kasich Alliance lasted about as long as a Palestinian ceasefire.”
That is exactly what first came into my mind. Two crooks stabbing each other in the back. Bwahahahahaha
In one of the Cruz rally threads she said the strangest thing about Cruz, (pp) ‘I can’t stand to listen to him, or even look at him.’
I’ve scratched my head ever since about that!
John, consider yourself stabbed in the back AGAIN!!!
I know, right? That’s what I keep wondering. Sitting by Mopac with her head in her hands?
She is a terminally unemployed failure.
Why nomjob offers for decades if she was so great?
Cruz is getting so far over the edge he may very well have to take a long rest at some sort of clinic. He can spend his time in his robe and slippers, leafing thru his scrapbooks and holding cabinet meetings with his stuffed animals.
There is something to be said for losing with dignity. Those guys often get to run again. Including Reagan. Cruz? No one is going to want to smell him again in 2024.
He brought her on to do his dirty work. They deserve to down together.
She’s right. Cruz and Kasich had made a pact, and Kasich immediately violated it by campaigning in Indiana and telling people not to vote for Cruz but for him.
If Kasich drops out, then Trump only needs ~140 more delegates to hit 1237.
So by all means, John, drop out.
and the man who golfs with Boehner is the OUTSIDER???
Biblical level of delusion...
