MANCHESTER, N.H. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz will announce on Wednesday afternoon that former presidential rival Carly Fiorina has agreed to be his running mate should he win the GOP presidential nomination.
Sources confirmed to WMUR political director Josh McElveen and political reporter John DiStaso that Fiorina, who has been a supporter of Cruz for several weeks, will be the focus of the announcement that Cruz intends to make in Indiana Wednesday afternoon.

Excellent idea.
BTTT!
He’s just heaping delusion on top of delusion in the hopes of changing the conversation from what a huge collapse he has had.
It is desperation writ in letters large enough to see from the moon.
and his soul.
Leaking during Trump’s foreign policy speech? LMAO.
Trump’s VP will be Mike Ditka /s
Actually if Ditka ran for the IL Senate a few years back, perhaps we might have avoided Obama.
No, you are right, you don’t get it.
You are looking at Trump as a politician with “favorable/unfavorables.” Silly.
He needs to be viewed as an entertainer, like Richard Petty, or J.R. Ewing, or “The Undertaker.” These were all bad-guy/villains whom people would boo but couldn’t get enough of them.
I can give you a very direct example. When I was growing up in AZ, the afternoon kids’ show was “Wallace and Ladmo.” These were two grown men in kids’ clothes who acted silly and they did ok. But they introduced another character in a Buster Brown outfit named “Gerald,” who was a little twit and who was always pulling tricks on the naive “Ladmo.” The live audience of kids hated “Gerald,” booing, throwing popcorn, but waited in incredible lines to meet him.
Scott Adams of Dilbert has explained this in different ways. Bottom line, Trump’s “unfavorables” are nothing like Hillary’s. Nothing.
Question: How would a Trumpeter know that RR chose a running mate in 1976 before the convention, if a Cruzader didn’t tell him?
Answer: He found the answer in his box of Crackerjacks.
ACTUALLY, now that we just had the Pennsylvania “loophole” primary, you could see the logic (as well as the desperation) in Reagan’s naming of Sen. Sweickert of Pennsylvania as his running. ALL the district delegates from Pennsylvania are technically unbound. Reagan was hoping Sweickert would bring maybe half of them with him. But, it didn’t work. Ford won the nomination and went on to lose the general election to Carter.
Carly has been a very good campaigner. Also, Heidi. Maybe Ted’s best surrogates.
The female angle isn’t bad. But, I love what Trump did, saying Hillary wouldn’t get 5 percent of the vote if she were a he. Great jujitsu. Raised my already high impression of Trump.
Cruz has to change the narrative in the face of a ton of good news for Trump. If he can get follow-up this VP announcement with an endorsement from Pence, the way he got from Walker in Wisconsin, he might be able to ski through the avalanche.
I’m also seeing speculation on Bloomberg, that Cruz will announce Fiorina as his running mate. If you can believe it.
The thing I would like to ask it, isn’t such an announcement illegal?
I thought it was specifically prohibited.
and yet this so called “conservative” is stealing the delegates ???
oh that’s really how a constitutional scholar would act isn’t it ???
What happened to my right to vote Mr Constitutional Scholar ???
So he can get with democrats to play the war on women issue against Trump. Cruz again siding with Democrats.
Yep. Get ready for industrial sized liberal talking point slime buckets dumped on Trump by “principled conservative” Ted Cruz. And Fiorina is “from” California. So another excuse to stick it out until the CA primary.
I’m telling you what I think of two of the most unattractive, arrogant and haughty people America has to offer.
The only talking about Trump here is you. I’m sorry for your obsession. Hopefully you’ll find a way to get over it.
Unattractive, arrogant and haughty. Truly sums up their qualities.
I don’t think she’s an especially good VP pick. She brings the female demographic, I suppose, but she lost to a female in California, and she won’t bring California in the general election.
Hey, Kristol,
Being a “good governing team” doesn’t amount to a hill of beans if you can’t get elected. And they can’t.
Classic case of cart before the horse. Down nearly 400 delegates and he’s picking a VP? What a dream ticket!! /s
Billy lead the #neverwin / aka nevertrump crowd and he’s talked about supporting Hillary. he’s figuratively dead to most people in this country and thats a good thing.
Cruz and his mommy.. two non likable people hooking up to go nowhere
CLINTON LAUDS CONNECTION OF BUSINESS, COMMUNITY FIRMS TO GIVE $100 MILLION FOR INTERNET ACCESS
San Jose Mercury News (CA) - April 18, 2000
EXCERPTS
Clinton offered a mix of private-sector commitments and government programs Monday. His proposed budget includes about $3 billion in funding to hook up every school and library in the country to the Internet and pay for computers, software and teacher training in poor areas. This includes $100 million for centers like Plugged In. In addition, Clinton said he will seek $2 billion in new tax incentives for companies that donate or contribute computer-related equipment to schools.
(snip)
Seated alongside Clinton during his morning appearance at Plugged In broadcast live on the Web via America Online were the Rev. Jesse Jackson, Hewlett-Packard Co. CEO Carly Fiorina and Robert Knowling, CEO of Covad Communications, a Santa Clara-based digital subscriber line company.
(snip)
Meanwhile, Fiorina, whose company has funded Plugged In almost since its inception in 1992, said the center will move from its temporary location soon. HP will pay for a new building as a part of our $5 million grant to East Palo Alto. We will fund the building, she said. The details are to be worked out.

CARLY FIORINA: Of personality. Because I dont think we have enough practice at it. Whereas, when people focus on a male leader, they tend to get off style pretty fast and focus on the substance.
I had a I shared a podium with Bill Clinton several months ago, and he said, you know, when I would talk at some length about an issue like health care, people would call me erudite or well informed. And when Hillary talks a long time about an issue, shes described as lecturing. And I think it was an interesting illustration, that sometimes the adjectives are very different for the same thing.

Hillarys Brother, Other Dems Meet With McCain Campaign
Accuracy in Media - August 20, 2008
Whats this? Hillary Clintons brother Tony Rodham along with other Democrats met with McCain adviser Carly Fiorina this week.
From the Scranton Times-Tribune.
A brother of New York Sen. Hillary Clinton and local Democrats who backed her unsuccessful presidential campaign socialized privately Monday with a top surrogate of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Arizona Sen. John McCain.
The private gathering featured Carly Fiorina, Mr. McCains top economic adviser, and took place at the Dunmore home of political consultant Jamie Brazil, a longtime friend of Mrs. Clintons family who has signed on as paid national director of Mr. McCains Citizens for McCain Coalition.
The attendees included Tony Rodham, Mrs. Clintons youngest sibling, his wife, Megan, and their two children; attorney Kathleen Granahan Kane, who coordinated Mrs. Clintons presidential campaign in Northeast Pennsylvania during the primary election; and Virginia McGregor, sister of Scranton Mayor Chris Doherty.

CEO at the GOP
Primetime Politics ^ | March 8, 2008 | Robert Novak
Conservatives and party regulars were not happy about the selection of Carly Fiorina to head the Republican National Committees Victory 2008 campaign raising funds for the presidential election. She was one of the nations most visible CEOs before she was fired by Hewlett-Packard in 2005 for not generating enough profits.
Federal Election Commission records show Fiorina contributed nothing to the Republican Party the last eight years. Her only political giving was to Sen. John McCains presidential campaign$2,100 in 2006 and $2,300 in 2007. Fiorina was at McCains side when he campaigned in the critical Michigan and Florida races.
Fiorina has no standing in the conservative movement and has taken no position on the abortion question.

Carly Fiorinas conversion from Hillary Clinton fan to fervent critic
washingtonpost.com ^ | 8/14/15 | Ruth Marcus
In 2010, the then-GOP Senate nominee went all middle-school-cafeteria on her Democratic opponent's hairdo. God, what is that hair? Sooo yesterday, Fiorina, already miked up, commented, quoting an aide's assessment. Two years earlier, in the makeup room at ABC's This Week with me, Fiorina said something that, at the time, was mildly interesting, but is now revelatory. It was May 2008, close to the end of the long primary battle between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, and we were discussing the two Democratic contenders.
At which point Fiorina, then a campaign surrogate for presumptive GOP nominee John McCain, offered some unprompted praise for Clinton: If Fiorina hadn't been backing McCain, she told me, she would have been for Clinton.
That's off the record, Fiorina immediately added.
>>He just lost every county in five States, and he is going to announce his VP choice,.? The man needs a Intervention, he is obviously having some sort of break with reality.
It’s ok. He’s on a mission from God.
