So much for the Clinton-Trump family detente.
Over the New Year, Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump agreed not to let their parents' dueling presidential campaigns drag down their longtime friendship, according to sources close to the pair. But that didn't stop Chelsea from bashing her old pal's father during a private downtown Manhattan fundraiser that happened shortly before the candidates left New York and got back onto the campaign trail this week.
“If you've watched the entire (Donald) Trump rally, then you understand the daily diet of hate speech,” Clinton told a collection of wealthy donors at the press-prohibited event. “The constant barrage of sexism, racism, homophobia and anti-worker's rights rhetoric or anti-immigration rhetoric and policy proposals that shouldn't be passed — it's not the country that I want my children to grow up in.”(snip)
“It matters that people know how to make government work and I think my mom is the only person running who has a dedicated and clear record of being able to do that,” Chelsea said.
At least one witness at the Hillary Clinton fundraiser viewed Chelsea's attack on The Donald as less than nuanced. “Chelsea Clinton rips him apart like a pit bull,” said our source.
Chelsea’s killer instinct could come in handy, should she enter the political ring herself — a notion that picked up buzz at an earlier fundraiser she hosted in January.
“She's clearly politically adept,” said our source at the Clinton event, where entry cost as much as $2,700 per head. “People at these rallies think she's prime for a run.”

LOL! I’m having a flashback to a job I had in the 90’s where our 19-year old receptionist reported for work wearing leather pants. She and the office manager proceeded to have a catfight which is still the stuff of local legend in our industry.
