So much for the Clinton-Trump family detente.
Over the New Year, Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump agreed not to let their parents' dueling presidential campaigns drag down their longtime friendship, according to sources close to the pair. But that didn't stop Chelsea from bashing her old pal's father during a private downtown Manhattan fundraiser that happened shortly before the candidates left New York and got back onto the campaign trail this week.
“If you've watched the entire (Donald) Trump rally, then you understand the daily diet of hate speech,” Clinton told a collection of wealthy donors at the press-prohibited event. “The constant barrage of sexism, racism, homophobia and anti-worker's rights rhetoric or anti-immigration rhetoric and policy proposals that shouldn't be passed — it's not the country that I want my children to grow up in.”(snip)
“It matters that people know how to make government work and I think my mom is the only person running who has a dedicated and clear record of being able to do that,” Chelsea said.
At least one witness at the Hillary Clinton fundraiser viewed Chelsea's attack on The Donald as less than nuanced. “Chelsea Clinton rips him apart like a pit bull,” said our source.
Chelsea’s killer instinct could come in handy, should she enter the political ring herself — a notion that picked up buzz at an earlier fundraiser she hosted in January.
“She's clearly politically adept,” said our source at the Clinton event, where entry cost as much as $2,700 per head. “People at these rallies think she's prime for a run.”

Last night Trump mentioned the fact Bill Clinton signed NAFTA. I love how Trump meters out these hits - like Chinese water torture. It’s going to be awesome to watch Trump - it will be like a bulldozer and a gnat.

I listened to Chelsea in an interview a few months ago when a reporter questioned the possible criminal violations in the C Foundation. You should have heard her lie. Worse than mom, and mom has no shame.

Whenever I see her in the news like this, I think “What does anyone care what this vacuous, empty-headed, coddled and pampered person thinks?” and then I realize her father was President, and her mother held several positions of importance.
And then I remember why she thinks she is qualified to speak out.
Let her keep talking.
She looks like she’s been melted and poured in order to get into those pants or maybe they have been painted on her.
She should drop dead along with her parents.
