I was suspicious of the Kasich-Cruz cabal. Apparently, Kasich was not fully sold either.
Cruz was to ‘get’ Indiana and Kasich was to get Oregon and New Mexico.
If Kasich agreed 100% and Cruz won Indiana, would Cruz stab Kasich in the back for OR and NM? Likely, considering what he did to Carson in IA.
Kasich did say he was NOT telling the voters in IN to not vote for him.

Sounds like Rush is getting ready to pivot to Trump by saying that presidential elections are “situational” not “ideological” meaning that Cruz wasn’t appealing because of the wrong situation . . . or something.

Yes, just heard this after my initial post...
I never liked Cruz, from the first time I saw/heard him. His personality is creepy like a devious used car salesman. How he got as he did is somewhat surprising.
Trump is about to speak.. Watching FNC.
I too have a lot of appreciation for the education Rush has given me over the past 20 years. I’m trying to temper my impulse to condemn him for his human foibles. But that does not mean I want to continue to spend 3 hours a day with him.
I hope he returns to sanity. His IS brilliant, and when he is doing true analysis, there are none better. I miss him.
But it is disappointing to here him dis me and my reasoning while at the same time seeming to understand it at some level.

Just heard on the local news that Kasich didn’t even win his hometown district last night, McKees Rocks, PA. He came in second to Trump.
What Rush can’t admit is that the number of voters who subscribe to his definition of Conservatism has been shrinking, thanks to the half-arsed efforts of the Republican Party in trying to implement it. That pool of true-believers is now too small to win elections.
