Now lets talk about Trumps sky-high unfavorability rating that hovers around 70%. Trump haters use that figure as their last hope. No one can get elected with such high negatives, they say.
That is cognitive dissonance. And it is one of the cleanest examples you will ever see. Ill tell you why.
...
When the race gets down to a clean Trump versus Clinton contest, and people realize there are no other options, the comparison changes. Trump wins the matchup against crooked Hillary with ease, based on skill, not policies. You havent even imagined that contest yet. Your brain wont let you.
Trump does NOT win against your imaginary unicorn candidate that is a conflation of good qualities from other people. But that unicorn wont be running against him.
Youre already hearing the word landslide applied to the upcoming Republican primaries. By October you will hear that Trump is running unopposed for all practical purposes.

How many gals will trust Hillary--with the Clinton record--to keep us safe from the lunatic in North Korea? This is the reverse of the Leftist device that sealed Goldwater's doom in 1964, with nuclear mushroom clouds bursting as a little girl stoops to pick a flower.
Trump does not need to do anything that would be controversial, here, to draw Sanders supporters. Just consider how the fireside chats that I have suggested, explaining the actual real effects of “globalist,” policy on communities across America, would go over to many drawn to Sanders. Consider:

I dunno. Many women, particularly single w/ children, think of safety as having money to pay for food, utilities, gas, rent, and not as countering a fat, crazy Nork with a bad haircut.
I'm sorry to hear that you'll be not voting for the candidate with an extremely pro-gun platform, who has repeatedly come out strongly against illegal immigration, who is pushing for a simplified tax code, who is anti-common core.
So out of curiosity, who is your candidate for November's national elections?
Sanders older blue collar supporters, yes. I think college kids just want free stuff.
And those single women w/children are less likely to vote than are their grandmothers, who may respond to different stimuli.
Presuming 50% GOP and 50% DEM, a candidate requires only 26% of the total to win the majority of their party's nomination votes. Far less to win the plurality. 74% or more of the general electorate could hate them.
Negatives matter far more in the general election than the primary. Hillary for instance also has huge negatives, but she is doing quite well in the DEM primaries.
I realize this is TR now, but self-delusion doesn't win elections. Trump needs to lower his negatives with the general electorate.
I don’t think the MSM and most people realize how many Dems and especially blacks are going to cross over and vote for Trump. I have not met a black person lately here in Atlanta that is not voting for Trump.
All this blather about high unfavorables is a smoke screen ginned up by the chattering class.
Hillary Clinton is a supremely unlikeable and weak candidate. It will be easy for more conservative Democrats to cross over to Trump.
Trump may need to start estrogen therapy
Unicorn supremacy
Institutional, systematic unicorn privilege and supremacy; unconscious, unacknowledged unicorn power structures
That’s OK, your vote won’t be needed.
You and your wife are trolls and sellouts who only get in the way of Making America Great Again so just opus out and leave the heavy lifting to REAL AMERICANS. Later Traitor.
We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.
Samuel Adams
He will have no problems handing Hillary her rear end.
If he does not bolt to go indy, look for a lot of bitter Bernie supporters to also vote for Trump as well.
Got to remember that folks do not want to take a chance on an “old and sick” lady.
My life-long-democrat mother-in-law last night informed us that she is voting for Trump.
It balances out.
I think that too is wishful thinking.
However, I do expect a lot of Bernie supporters to just stay home.
And how many of those women look forward to Islamic terror in their cities? How many like immigrant crime? How will they react to Trump talking about Muslims taking sex slaves, not just in Syria, but in First World neighborhoods where they achieve any degree of political power, like Rotherham in the UK.
Have a bunch of Rotherham girls talk about their experiences, in a way which scares women in the US, and you will have a landslide for Trump.
It will end up to one of these three:
Either Bernie bolts and goes indy, his supporters vote for him that way, or other two possible choices would be, support Trump or stay home or at the dorm.
I think more parents and in a special way, the mothers go for the security first, middle, and last.
