I think the boneheaded move/declaration of Cruz stating how he and that other loser have teamed up to thwart the will of the Nation may have been the final straw. The usual is going to (has been) happen and Cruz's support will continue to wane as Trump steamrolls along - will take real subterfuge to stop Trump now and if Cruz goes along with it, he ain't worthy to be President.
Way back when I was full-bore for Cruz, we were saying that March would tell a clearer story about how Cruz was doing. march came and said that trump was not going to lose to Cruz. April came along and said that trump will wipe the floor with Cruz. Cruz refuses to hear the message the people are telling him - as far as I'm concerned, he isn't worthy now.
I think that the ones you mention are not really anti-NWO but rather regard American dominance of a globalized world as part of The Conservative Movement™.
This is a complex issue but it leads to what Andrew Wilkow calls “invade the world, invite the world”. The people who have been devastated and stand on the brink of destruction in consequence of ITW/ITW are the white working class and former white middle class, and they don’t like it.
Now, if you are one who sees these folks as the backbone of historical America, you will almost certainly be a Trump voter. If you don’t blink when the adult child of Somali Muslim terrorists who goes to join ISIS is referred to on the news as a “Minnesota man” then you probably don’t grasp what is happening.
