Dont expect to see Donald Trump give a humble concession speech if he loses the Republican presidential nomination. During a Sunday rally in Maryland, the Republican presidential frontrunner mocked candidates who praise their opponents during concession speeches, saying that if he loses the contest, Americans will probably not hear much from him again. They fight like hell for six months, and theyre saying horrible things, the worst things you can imagine, Trump said. And then one of them loses, one of them wins. And the one who loses says, I just want to congratulate my opponent. He is a brilliant man, hell be a great governor or president or whatever. He continued: Im not sure youre ever going to see me there. I dont think Im going to lose, but if I do, I dont think youre ever going to see me again, folks. I think Ill go to Turnberry and play golf or something. Trumps mockery wasnt relegated just to the electoral losers. He also said Sunday that the winners were too modest. Half the times [the winners] put them in the administration thats how they get rid of them, Trump said of the losing candidates. This line of thought has not stopped Trump from graciously accepting endorsements from other candidates who have dropped out of the presidential race. Trump frequently touts his support from Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson. During a news conference in February announcing Christies endorsement, Trump lauded Christies tenure as a governor and his barbs during the Republican presidential debates. Generally speaking, Im not big on endorsements, Trump said, adding, This was an endorsement that really meant a lot.

You have to keep your eye on the prize.

I totally agree with EVERYTHING you said. Reminding me of an old Italian’s donut shop when I was young. Hanging on the wall was a big sign which read:
As you travel through life, my friend,
May it ever be your goal,
Keep your eye upon the donut,
And not upon the hole.
The party has nothing to do with this... when he wins, I hope he can build a new party that we can be proud of. The GOP isn't it as it stands today.
He's tough, has always worked to win, but he is a human being. He and his offspring can continue running the business and enjoy their lives to the fullest extent.
If he fails, it will be interesting to see what America becomes in the next several years. I am certain that many of us will reflect and say, "Trump would not have allowed that to happen."
No, there will be a lot of people. Most the GOP candidates in 2020 will be like him.
Don't believe him for one NY minute!
Oh, come on. Who really believes that this attention addict will go away quietly upon losing? No such luck. He’s not going anywhere. He can’t. Attention is the oxygen that he breathes. As Bill Buckley said about him, The Donald would be competing for Miss America if he were built a bit differently.
Longer than that, if ever. Perot was the last outsider who tried, and he was no Trump!
That SNAKE Trump is talking about is Cruz/Kasich/GOP!
WE WARNED YOU ALL WHAT CRUZ IS! This is our last chance to fix this mess and TED isn’t going to do it!

If he loses, I do see in a couple of years NBC crawling on their hands and knees for him to do another Celebrity Apprentice. The ratings/money would rule and they would need it desperately. Not saying he would accept but most of the people who hate him didn’t watch the previous shows anyway.
I think it would be a shame for Trump or anyone to go out like a sore loser. If he were to lose, even through dirty tricks that includes anything illegal or immoral, I would hope he would still care as much about America as ever. It doesn’t mean he needs to endorse or otherwise support anyone who cares more about their dirty tricks than they do about the future of our country. But I hope that he, and anyone else running, will continue to care.
I think that the GOP needs to firmly stand by the rules they put in place before this election season started. The process integrity matters more than. And its time to put to rest all the stupidity games and talk about trying to bend the rules. Does the GOP want to be like one of the whiners who was losing in 2008 for the Dem’s but thought she could win the nomination by changing the rules regarding Florida after-the-fact? Does the GOP want to be like that whiner? If Cruz, Kasich, or anyone else gets the nomination by playing by the rules with integrity then congrats to them. The best thing for Trump to do is to go win more primaries so he can sew it up on the 1st ballot. And the next best thing he can do is go ensure that all of his delegates really are his delegates and to do this fairly. The whole idea of quadrennial party conventions was to decide the nominee for Pres/VP and if things are handled fairly then Trump will start the contest with the most delegates of any candidate. He could very well win on a later ballot.
Full disclosure: I did not endorse Trump. I endorsed Kasich. However it was not an easy choice to make because frankly none of the candidates left in the race the day before the Texas primary when I made my endorsement looked exciting to me. So whenever anyone tries to ridicule me on this website or anywhere for my endorsement I just sigh and think “I wish we had someone better”. I’d like to think Trump is genuine but I honestly have a hard time trusting him that he won’t become like the typical two-faced politician we see all the time.
You might be right.
For one he’s opened everybody’s eyes to how the primary process can be manipulated over the voter’s wishes. There will be pressure to fix this.
He has also set the agenda and the GOPe is going to have a difficult time sweeping it back under the rug and keeping it there.

These men are INSTEAD hell bent on destroying the ONLY chance a republican has in this election to beat Hildabeast.

I believed that Trump was the only one who could beat Hillary because he could take NY’s 29 EVs and that would sink her. But, I’m not so sure now that he sided with the perverts on the NC Restroom Law. (Do a Google Search.) I know he said it’s a matter for the States, but, he did not renounce it. I guess he thinks it’s ok for a 50 year old pervert dressed like a woman to use the restroom with his granddaughters.
“If Trump loses, it will be a generation before someone like him is willing to run again.”
If things keep going they way they are, America might not produce any people like Trump anymore for a very long time.
For similar reasons, I believe that he will only grow more Conservative in the coming years.
What sounds good to me is if Ted said he was moving back to Canada where he is from.
Yep, we’ll probably never see him again, except for his TV shows, his phone-in interviews, and his many products and businesses. He’ll completely fade away.
Joe Arpaio made that same argument. Donald Trump is proud, so he would want to keep his promises.
Trump is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get. But you want some anyway.
