Wilkes-Barre, PA
Wilkes-Barre was founded in 1769 and formally incorporated in 1806. The city grew rapidly after the discovery of nearby coal reserves and the arrival of hundreds of thousands of immigrants. The city reached the height of its prosperity in the first half of the 20th century when its population reached just over 86,000. Following World War II, the city's economy declined and the Knox Mine disaster accelerated this trend when large portions of the area's coal mines were flooded. Today the city has a population of 41,498, making it the 13th largest city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

No Todays Trivia as I can barely keep up with this man posting where the rallies are with a few photos. So, like in times past, lets spend the day in prayer and meditation for Trump and his family, our precious country and the people that are the forum. Has anyone heard from our dear friend WVKayaker? Hes down under and was down under. Lets also give thanks to Jim Robinson for having the insite years ago to start this wonderful site. More than ever, its been a welcome retreat for many of us these past difficult 8 years.

Was that pic from Wilkes-Barre?
I just saw the same thing. Amazing to see all of that water being released! I hope our lakes can stay at healthy levels for a while before another drought cycle.
At the end of the opera, Iago, one of the best villains ever written in theater or opera, gets arrested and whisked away. In Franco Zefferelli's film production, he gets impaled by Otello's sword.
I always imagined Iago sneaking away, retiring to one of those little islands in the Mediterranean and spending the rest of the life pulling the wings off flies.
LOL...LOVE that! :-)
Most of my aunts and uncles went to Kingston High and then to Wyoming Valley West after they regionalized. A few to Bishop Hoban which is now closed. Others to Myers and Coughlin, but nobody to Wyoming Seminary.
Oh my GOSH, LOL LOL
Can’t imagine why you would have been thrown off the forum for posting the picture of Ted the clown and KaSICK and confetti..Priceless. LOL LOL
Glad you enjoyed it!
I have to run off to bed.
Work comes too early, darn it!
Good night everyone, and God bless!
Todays picture, amazing crowd. No protester.
You know what food you should celebrate instead? CHICAGO HOT DOGS ROLLS WITH POPPYSEEDS! They're WONDERFUL and NOT found anywhere on the East Coast.
In New England, we have square hot dog rolls ( the ONLY kind that one should use for a lobster roll !), but we also have the rounded ones, here in Ct. too. From N.Y. down, they only have the rounded ones.
:-)
I’ve never seen a square hot dog bun.
Ooooooooh...............
Here comes Wiley Coyote trying to steal #1237 back from Jane Long, who has a good ground game.
It's a New England thing; they are rectangles with a split top. ;^)
I have seen Pepperidge Farm Split top hot dog buns, but I don’t think they’re squre or rectangular...I, being a Hick in TX thought “who’d want a weird bun like that?” They just seemed unnatural.
OMG Right wing Diamond and Silk are just hysterical!!! The pictures on a stick these two are a hoot!!!
