A retired middle school principal was so moved by Donald Trump that he switched his Democratic Party registration so he can vote for him in Tuesdays Republican presidential primary.
So did the daughter of a steelworker, who twice voted for President Barack Obama but says she is over the Democrats political correctness.
And a husband-wife team of Trump volunteers shes a laid-off airport worker, hes a laid-off truck driver were Democrats for 30 years, until recently.
We always voted Democrat, said Laurie McGinnis, as her husband, Ricky, hung a Trump banner outside their South Greensburg home. But not any more.
Some of these newly minted Pennsylvania Republicans are formalizing a process that began with Ronald Reagans election in 1980, when conservative-leaning Democrats began shifting away from the party in the faded industrial state.
Others moved abruptly, inspired by Trump and fed up with a party they say no longer speaks their language.

This is the return of the Reagan democrats
Cruz is smarmy and Trump isn’t? What?
Trumps gains are mostly part of Hillary’s version of “Operation Chaos.” The Democrats want Trump to win the nomination because he is weakest candidate with historically YYYUUGE negatives. He is the one candidate Hillary can beat hands down.
smarmy - definition: ingratiating and wheedling in a way that is perceived as insincere or excessive; synonyms: unctuous, ingratiating, slick, oily, greasy, obsequious, sycophantic, fawning;
Sounds like Cruz, not Trump
You missed the sarcasm tag unless you wanted to generate the “not this shit again” graphic.
“Time will tell, but I already have one foot out the door and Ill bet a Dollar to a Donut Im not alone.”
I could have overwritten your post word for word, and I’m actually in CA waiting to vote for Trump!
That would make a great FR tagline. ;-)
“Cruz is smarmy and Trump isnt? What?:
Correction...... Cruz is smarmy and Trump is confidently bombastic.
Go Trump!
I think everyone with more then two brain cells knows that vote fraud has been rampant since we went two electronic polling.
“Laurie McGinnis, 49, and her husband, Ricky, 57, who grew up in the area and met as school bus drivers, were watching the first Republican debate last summer when they began thinking about switching.” Now HOW can THIS be? Doesn’t this woman know Trump hates woman and woman hate Trump? Some people are so misinformed. Isn’t that when the world saw how much Trump hates all women?
Bull****
Bingo!
This explains the complete and utter contempt the leaders of the Democrat Party have for Americans. They are so emboldened they can do whatever they want. History of the mid-term elections seems to indicate they only pull out all the voter fraud stops for the general presidential election, therein being their power.
Folks like this are the factor that gives trump a lot better chance in walking away with it all in the General - Cruz, instead of gathering broad-based support, has managed to alienate a lot of his original base.
If Trump is locked out of the nomination there will be H*ll to pay. If Cruz is thrusts down the throates of the GOP they results could be the death of the GOPe—and the birth of its replacement—The Liberty Party. Its that or Civil War if cheating puts Hillary in office. 2016 has proven an interesting year—and 2017 may well be worse.
>> Theyre sick of both parties.
And of the craftsmanshp of professional political prostitutes who infest the process of governance.
Like “oustiders” Roger Stone and that commie-propping grease ball Manafort.
As We the People are increasingly empowered to campaign and interact via sources like YouTube and other social media, the ability of millions of donor $$ to pervert Government Of the People, By the People, and FOR the People, diminishes.
And THAT FACT has the uniparty’s oligarchic vanguard elitist vampires trembling in their golden sarcophogi.
Trump is just the beginning.
“AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE”
Disgruntled or trying to throw the election?
Trump Bump!
That is the question I've been asking since this primary started.
Kinda funny that Trump is winning all the liberal strongholds.
Wrong. Many dems like the sound of America first for a change.
