Texas Sen. Ted Cruz collected the overwhelming majority of Maine's Republican delegates during the state's GOP convention Saturday.
Cruz collected 19 of the 20 spots up for grabs, with the 20th spot going to Maine Gov. Paul LePage, who's supporting GOP front-runner Donald Trump.

OK, I meant to say plurality, not majority. But he still got more Republicans than Cruz in every state he won.
No, they really want president Hillery.
The guy is a snake
I’m in Maine.
I am a registered independent, so I did not vote in the GOP caucus.
The caucus was on Saturday, March 5th. Cruz received, at the time, 12 delegates, Trump received 9, and Kasich, 3.
There were only about 28 caucus sites for the GOP statewide. Some people had to drive 30 miles or more each way to their caucus site.
The dems went the next day, Sunday, March 6th. The dems had 535 or more caucus sites.
There were many problems for both the dems and the GOP at the caucus sites. Everyone was in an uproar about the confusion and problems that occurred. Within a few days, a bill was introduced in the Maine Senate to go back to a primary election in 2020. It sailed through the Maine Senate and Maine House, and was signed by the governor.
Pass it on, will ya, please. Thanks
“Trump does best where Dems and Indies determine the winner. Says something about Donny.”
Yeah, it says he can win a general election, unlike your lunatic Fringe candidate, who has no chance with Independents, or working class Democrats.
Reread the post, it was 4 elections where voters decided the delegates. That would exclude caucus and convention states where there are decreased or no voting opportunities for the rank and file.
But Cruz supporters don't care about small facts like actual voters getting their say. It's all about the "rules".
Please pass it on, will ya! Thanks
You seem to be in the minority amongst Trump supporters who post on this subject.
Yes, the Cruz team needs to properly vet the national delegates that they support. The establishment has limited options if both Cruz and Trump get their delegates in place.
“Cruz has taught the voters their voice and their vote are meaningless. Come November I bet voters have learned that lesson well. I know I have.”
Anyone who didn’t know how this system has been working for all of our lifetimes has been dangerously unobservant.
Maine had a Caucus, the split there was 12 for Cruz, 9 for Trump, or something like that. The delegate convention is run by insiders. The Ron Paul people took it over last time around, and after that fisaco the party hacks rigged things so the party hacks have total control.
Trump has 45% of the delegates with 37% of the votes cast. System’s rigged for Trump.
Cruz has “won” delegates with delegate votes instead of the people...
If the GOPe wheedles the nomination to Cruz, is he going to “win” with only delegate votes???LOL...
That’s all he can get, you know....
I’m confused. Did people not vote for the delegates?
This shows he can get things done. And he’s already proven he will do what he says he will do. This is a good thing.
Trump does best where Dems and Indies determine the winner. Says something about Donny.
Yes, it does. It tells me that Mr. Trump will win the general election.
So how did Ted get crushed in New York?
There is something very strange about a group of people who have hurled every insult they could imagine at Trump for over ten months, most of them tens if not hundreds of times, and yet here they are still acting as if hurling them one more time will do the trick.
It’s too late folks. It’s over. Trump has kicked your candidate’s ass. Perhaps that was wrong, but it has happened. Your candidate stands no chance whatsoever of being the party nominee.
Don’t back Trump. I understand. At this point, please at least try to act sane.
Sane people don’t continue to live on in a fantasy when confronted with reality.
It seems to me the people who are really good at running campaign are the ones that got us into this giant humongous colossal mess.
