According to Kerick, who by the way spent a great deal of time down at Ground Zero, Donald Trump displayed incredible generosity and concern towards the volunteers and first responders who worked down at “The Pile” sifting through debris for body remains. Bernie told me without hesitation, “Trump instructed hundreds of his hotel workers to head down to Ground Zero and offer a hand doing whatever needed to be done. Be it hand out water, food, etc, etc.” I asked if the cameras caught any of this? Kerick explained there were no cameras permitted in the area, and Trump knew this. Meaning, he didn’t do it for the fanfare or press clippings. Perhaps Donald did it because he loves America, and because he cares about the American people?
Kerick went on to say Trump himself visited Ground Zero to help lift spirits and to thank the tireless workers who were down there each day and night searching for bodies. “He didn’t have to do it, he wanted to do it. That’s the Trump I know.”

Having to purely rely on Kerick’s word could be questionable. Wasn’t he charged or arrested a while back for some criminal or mob connection? allegations of misuse of police personnel and property for personal benefit, and connections with a construction company with suspected ties to organized crime, and failure to comply with ethics rules on gifts. In 2006 Kerik pleaded guilty to two unrelated ethics violations after an investigation by the Office of the Bronx District Attorney and was ordered to pay $221,000.
In 2009 Kerik pleaded guilty to 8 federal charges in the Southern District of New York, including tax fraud and false statements, and was sentenced to four years in federal prison on February 18, 2010.[1]
The interview was far ranging, took place in March before this entire dustup started. As for Kerick's veracity, there's a lot of Guilianni quotes around that say much of the same thing, just haven't tracked them down yet.
I wish you were as worried about Cruz' voting record and past, as you are about the allegations about Kerick ... there's a whole back story of the political agenda behind his prosecution, but that doesn't mean he was guilt free.
Kerick has done his time, paid for his sins. if you want to lay down the marker that the only people to be believed are those who have never done wrong ... proceed at your own risk. BTW, the pharisee line starts over there.

Yes, I know and love this story. Only Snopes and Smoking Gun have both said it is false, and cited other instances where the same story was told about other celebrities. I am still looking for good evidence, I am just so anal when it comes to the stuff I post. I think there is probably verification out there ... thanks.

I always have to laugh when I hear about the "sniper fire". My hobby back then was listening to shortwave utility broadcasts. I often listened to AF1 and Executive One Foxtrot ( Hillary's plane ). You would usually get phone patches to aides aboard the aircraft. I heard the phone patch to her aide that day ( thought I had recorded it, but my cable had a short in it and didn't record ). Anyway, it was a patch from the WH Situation room. They told her aide that the airport was safe. The only activity in the area was occasional rifle fire - 10 miles away from the airport.
Maybe you missed it, but Levin said he was going #NeverTrump. This was the night after he wrote a scathing rebuke of other conservative voters threatening to do the same. So, I don't know what's going on except that he seems very unstable right now.

A few years ago we had the former US Marine who accidentally crossed into Mexico with a gun in his car, and ended up getting tossed in jail down there where he sat for quite a while – months, I believe. Greta Van Susteren of Fox and Donald Trump worked to get him freed from the jail (what did Obama / Hillary / Kerry do??) and once he was back in the US, Trump gave him a cash gift to help him get his life back in order. I doubt it was a small amount; Greta Van Susteren confirmed the story on her show several months ago and again a few days ago- I saw when she did it.
