How bad was Cruzs night? Hes losing to Ben Carson in some places a guy who hasnt been in the race in weeks.
Cruz can still win the nomination on the first convention ballot, mind you, but he needs to win about 88.5 percent of the outstanding delegates, bound or unbound, per Daniel Nichanians excellent calculations. That's not likely to happen either.
Trump isnt the only big winner tonight! Congratulations to John Kasich, who will almost certainly end up with his first delegate in more than a month. Can Kasich pull off a come-from-behind victory? No. The end.

There is a God! Cruz should ‘do the right thing’ if that’s even possible considering how far he’s dug in with the GOPe covering his losing bid.
Congratulations to Trump for his resounding win!
Democrats outnumber Republicans in NYC 9-1.
Because winning 15% of your own party’s primary shows that a win is likely against Clinton?
“...worthy of her vote...”
Anyone running against Hillary! is worthy of anyone’s vote.
That’s what a vote is for. Keeping monsters out of office.
The notion that a vote is an act of worship, and must be bestowed only on the godlike, is preposterous and superstitious. To write in Mickey Mouse does not keep the voter “pure and undefiled.” It is a vote for Hillary.
I been told Trump is counting on a lot of crossover voters.
Yet, the Canadian Cruz will stay in to help the eGOP thwart Trump.
“Trump will not win New York in the general election. You folks need to quit kidding yourselves. Look at the total primary voting for the two parties.”
You’re so biased against Trump that if God himself proclaimed him the winner you’d claim otherwise.
Now you know how the rest of us feel, listening to your endless dribble!
Cruz and his supporters are Dead Enders.
They will get what they always get. Nothing.
The math is wrong. Trump won 89 delegates, giving him 845 delegates. Needed to win 1237: 1237 - 845 = 392 delegates. There are 734 remaining delegates. 392/734 = 53.4%. 56% of the remaining 734 delegates will 411 delegates or a total of 1256 delegates. That’s 19 delegates more than is necessary to win nomination.
How did you do that?
Democrats are going to have their problems too at convention.
With what we got on our plate, the only option is a Trump/Cruz 2016 ticket.
It’s the only winning way out of this mess!
Lincoln won on the third ballot.
Lincoln was born in a log cabin in Kentucky. Cruz wasn’t.
Cruz came out and said no way to that trump/cruz ticket. He’s going for the second ballot, patriot that he is. Go Trump!
Bernie got what, twice the vote of Trump tonight?
If Trump doesn’t get nomination on 1st round, in order to not go down that ugly road, Cruz should then stand with Trump to avoid the chaos and lose to Clinton.
