The cofounders of the popular Ben and Jerrys ice cream company were arrested Monday afternoon as part of a sit-in on the steps of the U.S. Capitol protesting big money in politics.
Jerry Greenfield, 66, and Ben Cohen, 65, were arrested with about 300 others for unlawful demonstration activities, according to a statement from U.S. Capitol Police Monday. All demonstrators were processed and released the same day.

They should stick to making ice cream, ya think?

I’m sure you will see long lines in front of their store on the corner of Haight and Ashbury.

I have not bought a product from Vermont since that Ass Jeffords jumped to the dems some years ago. It is not surprising that Brooklyn Bernie got his shot at the Congress from there either.

Crazy old fools.
But they sound just like Trump supporters on this issue.
Trump supporters being used by the left big time.
It’s sad to see.

Don’t put them in the same cell , they might try to reproduce

If they are really against big money in politics, they should be out there supporting Trump, he has only outspent Kasich. Clinton has spent about $200 MILLION, and Sanders isn’t far behind her as far as spending goes.

I do not know anything about Sierra Club president Aaron Mair, yet assume he is a leftist nutjob.
Unsure what you mean by your earlier post about the man not making it to jail alive.

Blue Bell is a good company, too! When they had an issue with contaminated ice cream, they were very open about the issue and acted quickly. I think they make the best cookie dough ice cream on the market, though we typically stick with Mayfield for other flavors.
One thing I’ve noticed is that conservative companies spend all their money on quality testing and R&D, while liberal companies spend all their money on lobbying and marketing. That makes it pretty easy to be a conservative shopper :)

These protests are preaching to the choir. Probably meant to give some level of support to an action Obama wants to take.

Most people dont follow the ins and outs of corporate ownership of brand names. Kinda like Microsoft. Most people still think Bill Gates is in charge.

Aaron Mair was questioned by Ted Cruz in a senatorial hearing. It was a riot. Cruz asked the same question 8 or 9 times, and Mair kept answering, “98 percent of the scientists believe in climate change.” But his answer did not address the question. Cruz made it quite obvious that the president of the Sierra club is a total buffoon.

Good post and consumer behavior, Max Americana!
I have never eaten or purchased Ben & Jerry's ice cream. Good job!
My other protest of similar duration is those gun-grabbing nitwits at Stonyfield Farms Yogurt.
I never touch the stuff. I will go without if their product is the only one at the grocery store.
While we are on the topic of dairy products to avoid, we should all ignore anything from Chobani.
It is not a Greek firm making Greek yogurt, it is Muslim-owned with enormous ties to bringing more Muslim so-called "refugees" to the United States.
I used to eat TONS of their yogurt and quit them cold-turkey.

Well this is now aneed idiotic thread about dairy product ownership. Meanwhile two guys sitting on the Capitol steps, peaceably assembling, were arrested.

My company used to sell equipment to these a-holes.
We always doubled the price to them that we charged other customers as part of our PITA Policy.
