A WNBC/WSJ/Marist poll released April 15 shows Trump with 54 percent support of Republican primary voters. Ohio Gov. John Kasich is in second place with 21 percent and Sen. Ted Cruz with 18 percent.
ABC News political analyst Matt Dowd said that it seems pretty clear that Trump is going to win the state, and he could stand to pick up a sizable amount of the state's 95 delegates.
"If he picks up north of 75 [delegates], he has a real path to 1,237," Dowd said, referring to the number of delegates a Republican...

Ted Cruz: This years honorable mention, the human political septic tank.
If only Mark Levin had done more to get Dana Rash to give Ted the support he needed things would have been different... alas.
We should get the rest of the Freepers to send Mark letters for Ted’s impending doom... after about 25 thousand “shaming letters” he will promise to do an even better job... for Teddy Bare.
I agree. If Cruz is ‘mathematically’ eliminated from being able to “reach 1237” even IF HE WERE TO WIN 100% of every delegate AFTER being eliminated mathematically, then that tells me that his more interested in WINNING AT ALL COSTS even at the expense of DIVIDING the Republican Party!
“Can’t win TED...”
I like the new name...
Reality Check. NeverTrump is not Pro-Cruz and that is mostly what Cruz has been getting since the Establishment took over his losing campaign.
Levin stuck his neck out a mile to back Ted.
At some point you have to accept reality, and get behind the winner and let them build on their momentum so they have a better chance to beating the opposition.
All entities except Trump’s supporters seem intent on damaging Trump so badly on the road to the ultimate nomination, that he will limp out of the convention as spoiled goods.
These people would rather have Hillary Clinton than Donald Trump.
And they think Trump is the evil one.
“Cruz is the only one in the race working to have Tea Party loyalist delegates represented at the convention”
No, Ted Cruz is the only one in the race working to have Ted Cruz loyalist delegates at the convention.
All my hopes for tomorrow are on seeing Hillary Clinton’s campaign spectacularly implode. I’ve wanted to see that woman fail miserably for decades now.
I did not write the article, but thanks for the compliment.
“dead last” is YESTERDAY’S news, and “dead last” is pretty strong for someone who was only two points behind at the time.
TED CRUZ tends to underpoll, so the fact that the NEWEST poll shows him 2 points ahead of Kasich, is huge, and it looks like TED CRUZ is getting some last-minute momentum.
Why do you want Kasich to be ahead? He’s a liberal Democrat.
Even Ted said Donald will win NY, so why would you want a liberal Democrat, Kasich, to be second????
Search right here on FR Kasich’s name, and you will see just how LIBERAL Kasich is. In fact, it’s downright disgusting.
A point which... in a saner time ... would have been grounds for being kicked off FR.
Right. Don’t think so.
That is not true, Doughty.
I want Ted Cruz to get the nomination because he is the better candidate and would make a far better president.
Also, because although there is utter denial of it here, Trump could not defeat Hillary.
I want Hillary out and I want someone who can take her out.
His name is not Trump.
You can tell yourself anything you like, but at the end of the day, the result will be the same.
Instead of heading out of the Convention with a head of steam, you are insuring we will head out of the convention as a severely wounded candidate.
That will make just one more hurdle that Trump will have to face.
You folks need to accept reality. Each and every general election year, it’s something we all have to come to terms with.
This is not different than any other year.
Tead is done. Accept it. Let’s move on to victory.
“If Cruz doesnt drop out after NY he has become a bona fide enemy of everything the Tea Party stood for”
Bob Barr of all people is Cruz’s GA campaign chair. Trump slaughtered Cruz in Georgia and is slated to get the majority of the delegates, but Barr sees nothing wrong with the Cruz team, which he heads, canvassing the state trying to steal the delegates from Trump. Offer em money, offer em women, offer em vacation, it’s all fine according to “libertarian” Bob Barr. I emailed the creep today and asked him what kind of libertarian would support a man that Mr. Libertarian Ron Paul said is “owned by Wall Street”. Of course I don’t expert to get a reply back. If Trump does not get 1,237 on the first ballot I guarantee you the GOP will nominate Cruz, who the American voter has soundly rejected. That means on thing. If you thought voters stayed home instead of voting for Romney or McCain you ain’t seen nothing yet. Get ready to say President Hillary Clinton if the creepy fraud Cruz gets the nomination after being stomped all over the country in delegates and voters.
Voters will either stay home or pick up weapons. Toss up I think.
From the 0ptimus Poll (really a Trump worse case — he polled 49, 51 when undecideds were pushed).
They were very pro-Kasich in WI. There’s rumors that it was a coordinated internal.
Here are the CDs where Trump was under 50 in that poll.
Pro-Kasich CD 7 (Brooklyn), CD 12 (Manhattan. Queens), CD 13 (Manhattan, Bronx), CD 15 (South Bronx), CD 16 (North Bronx/Southern Westchester), CD 19 (Hudson Valley), CD 20 (Albany), CD 21 (Watertown, Plattsburgh, Adirondacks), CD 22 (Rome, Utica, Southern Tier), CD 23 (SW NY, Ithaca, Corning, Fredonia), CD 24 (Syracuse), CD 25 (Rochester), CD 26 (Buffalo), CD 27 (Buffalo Suburbs)
Pro-Cruz CD 9 (Brooklyn) CD 10 (Brooklyn/Manhattan)
The reason I cite that poll is that it was the only one that had enough people in most of the 27 CDs to have each poll be statistically significant.
Some of the CDs with very few Republicans in them like CD-15 (D+43) were not as reliable.
