If Donald Trump clinches the 1,237 delegates required to win the Republican nomination, he said he's not sure he'll keep Reince Priebus as chairman of the Republican National Committee.
"I don't know. I haven't made the determination," the Republican front-runner told The Washington Post in an interview posted Sunday.
The comments come as Trump spent the last few days attacking the Republican Party's nominating rules -- calling the process "rigged" against him -- which has caused top members to fight before their meeting in Florida later this week.

“2012 was the easiest election in history and Reince blew that.”
How? Did Priebus tell Romney to gaffe his way to defeat?
Romney saw the *light * and tanked it on his own.
Of course it is. Also known as ‘greasing the skids’. And yes, it’s all part of the current corruption that this nation is being destroyed by. So Trump has been a part of that ongoing deal-making corruption ‘all along’...even as he accuses others of being a crook. Crooks that he donated to and helped fund. It’s hypocrisy on steroids.
Trump's base is not providing the RNC funding as it is - so that is no big threat. Most of Trump's base are the ones that are pissed off with the RNC and stopped giving to them a long time ago.
...start new party if the GOPe backstabbers refuse to give up control of RNC.
I think they would probably be okay with that in the long run. It wouldn't have much more long-term impact than the Reform party. You can't have a national party based just on a presidential candidate. The reason the Reform Party, Libertarian party, Constitution Party, Bull Moose party etc. never took off is because for a party to have a chance at the national level, you also have to have congressmen, senators, state legislators, etc. A Trump party might be able to elect Hillary, but they would not be a factor in 4 years. Then the Trumpkins would either go back to the GOP or Dem party from whence they came, or would go back to being uninvolved as many of them were before.
But some of them have this fanciful narrative in their heads that Trump can - somehow - get everyone to submit to him. The truth is that he has very little leverage, and the more he attacks the party itself, the less leverage he has.
It’s very telling that Trump’s first inclination should he win the presidency is to take revenge on those who opposed him. That doesn’t bode well for a Trump West Wing filled with people who are afraid to tell him anything that he might disagree with.
Has Trump ever said a bad thing about Debbie Was-a-man?
How in the world do you hold onto Congress and your state governments when your nominee rips his own party non-stop while barely ever saying a word about the Democrats? Hillary hasn’t come close to saying as much bad stuff about Republicans as Trump during this campaign.
Those “new voters” Trump turns out will probably be voting Trump and then straight-ticket Democrat below that.
There were some reports that the RNC’s digital GOTV system collapsed on election day.
Juan Williams has a piece out saying that congress is play because of Trump/cruz.
Really stupid not unite. I see Cruz supporters just not turning up although they will not be as vocal as Trump in their discord.
The RNC said the straw poll would HAVE to be binding if they held it. So they dropped it, opting to give their delegates freedom. Smart move in a contested convention. They could demand some goodies for Colorado to help put a nominee over the top on the first ballot.
You need to read Machiavelli’s The Prince.
From the Spark Notes:
Therefore, when a prince decides to seize a state, he must determine how much injury to inflict. He needs to strike all at once and then refrain from further atrocities. In this way, his subjects will eventually forget the violence and cruelty. Gradually, resentment will fade, and the people will come to appreciate the resulting benefits of the princes rule.
Correct, but with a caveat. If the delegates listed a candidate on their "intent to run" form, they were bound to that candidate on the first ballot if selected. The vast majority of the delegates selected from Colorado had Cruz listed on their forms, and so they are bound to Cruz on the first ballot. There are a couple of officially "unbound" delegates, though they have also expressed their intent to vote for Cruz on the first ballot.
That's a perfectly valid point, buy I think a lot of Trump voters actually hope the GOP loses seats in November as part of their desire to "destroy the GOP-e".
In some cases it's rigged against him, but in all cases, it's rigged for the establishment and against the voters, and that's meant to be hidden for the voters.
But hey, it's the rules, so it's OK, because the rules define what's OK.
Do you get your version of right and wrong from 'the rules' - in other words - from other men?
May fault then. Carry on!
i agree with you.
