A Rising GOP Star’s Dilemma: Should She Back Trump?

Most anywhere Nicole Malliotakis goes, she gets the question—in the Staten Island senior center, on the streets of Brooklyn, at her parents’ kitchen table. Why aren’t you supporting Donald Trump? Earlier this year, Ms. Malliotakis, a 35-year-old New York assemblywoman, was her state’s leading backer of Florida Sen. Marco Rubio. She openly criticized Mr. Trump’s rhetoric against women and Muslims and his past donations to Democrats. In tweets she added: “#NEVERTRUMP.”

I find it particularly shameful for someone who has been here as long as you deciding to attack one of our greatest current Conservative Senators.

Ted Cruz is a RINO.  He's a liar.  He has been assoicated with the Bushes at least as far back as 17 year ago.  In 1999 he was helping Bush to craft statements against states rights, against clamping down on illegal immigration, and using Leftist "for the children" type phrasing to pull it off.

Last year he told us he was instrumental in getting "the Gang of Eight" bill defeated in the Senate.  It passed in the Senate.  Ted just can't stop lying.  He stated that he offered up two amendments as poison pills for "the Gang of Eight" bill.  I started looking that up to find out who all voted with him on those amendments.  Then I found out those were submitted in committee, not on the floor of the Senate.  They were never up for consideration by the full body of the Senate.  That seemed misleading to me.  One of Ted's supposed "poison pills" was an increase of H1-B visas to 500% of it's then current value.  The implication was that Ted didn't really want it, he just submitted it as a poison pill.  Two years later, Ted was still pushing for that increat in the H1-B visas.  Last October or so, he had to withdraw that support in lieu of studying the issue more closely.  So he had been lying abotu that too.

Ted lies over and over again.  He hasn't been a stalwart Conservative.  He voted with the Democrats on the Corker Bill.  He pushed for the TPA bill and then withdrew his own vote just prior to the vote on the matter.  By this time who knows how many people he had talked into support it.

Now Ted is concentrating his efforts on taking down the only person that can bring real change to the GOPe.

Ted is pure sleeze.

Disgusting, actually.

What a fitting word.  Not for me of course, but for Ted it fits very accurately.

I don’t recall you acting remotely as indignant 4 years ago when I was leading the charge against a REAL traitor and Socialist in Willard.

Four years ago there were no Willardnoids on the forum like there are Cruznoids now.  There was nobody to push back against.  If there had been, I would have been joining in.  I have never liked Willard.  His Willardcare did it for me.

Frankly, sir, you’re not fit to shine Sen. Cruz’s shoes.

Well that's too bad, because I would be willing to help.  I would be glad to spit on them for you.

In the interest of being nice to my fellow FReepers, I said I was willing to help shine Tead’s shoes.

I would spit on them if it helped.

I am leaning towards guilty. look at the slight cross eyed crazy tendency, plus the bags under her eyes...

Then there is also a bit of the Monica Lewinsky look to her overall.
Pretty lady... maybe, but we may have to give creds to the photographer.

"Ted Cruz is a RINO."

Oh, so sorry. I'm afraid that's the wrong answer. What parting gifts do we have for him, Vanna ? Ah, yes, a week's supply of Willard's Dapper Dan pomade. Dapper Dan, for when you want to look your slickest and sleaziest !

You are a dishonest moron.

I didn’t even cover his support of Roberts to become the Chief Justice. Ted supported the guy that single-handedly gave us Obamacare with his swing vote.

His justification for it was unconstitutional and perhaps one of the worst rulings made by a Supreme Court Justice.

Dapper Dan pomade seems to be a big favorite of yours.

Glad I don’t use it, to slick myself up to back pretenders like Tead.

“perhaps you picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue.”

Speaking from experience?

Since you appear to prefer engaging in personal insults, instead of discussing facts, I will ignore your posts from now on.

And as Vendome notes, a lot can happen in five years: “exotic” becomes bizarre.
They start to neglect the Nair and electrolysis needle. Chicks like her can get as hirsute as Barbary apes.
In ten years, a caboose like two semi’s trying to pass one another on I-70.
In fifteen she’s wearing a hair sweater under her Rising GOP day-glo blue suit, and has a unibrow.

It sounds like this one may turn as mean as a sidewinder with shingles too.
In my dotage I have some standards; I’m not some Uniparty tail-hound.

NOT DEBUNKED... and NOT OVER WITH

In a campaign interview during his freshman senate race, a GOP Texas State Committee member sat down with the young candidate to ask a few poignant vetting questions, and here are the questions and answers from that interview… (Redacted information is to protect the witness at this moment, but the witness is willing to offer sworn testimony)

Interviewer: “Hello Mr. Cruz, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is (redacted). I am a (redacted) County GOP Precinct Chair and you have my support and vote. I have one question for you if I may?”
Cruz: “Sure, go ahead.”
Interviewer: “What is your understanding of how one becomes a natural born Citizen?”
Cruz: “Two citizen parents and born on the soil.”
Interviewer: “Not exactly, but as I don't have enough time to fully explain how one does become an natural born Citizen, based on your understanding, would you agree that Barack Obama is ineligible to be POTUS?”
Cruz: “I would agree.”
Interviewer: “So when we get you elected, will you expose him for the usurping fraud he is?”
Cruz: “No, my main focus will be on repealing Obamacare.”
Interviewer: “But Mr. Cruz, if he is exposed as the usurping fraud he is, everything he has done will become null and void. Everything!”
Interviewer: “At that point, Cruz reiterated his main concern, so it was obvious the conversation was over as far as Cruz was concerned. I thanked him for his time and wished him success in the runoff.”

Ruling moving to the Supreme Court...link to article NBC

In late March, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, in a brief unsigned order, upheld a trial judge's ruling that reached the merits of the issue and found that Cruz met the Constitution's requirement.

A natural-born citizen "includes any person who is a United States citizen from birth," wrote Commonwealth Judge Dan Pellegrini.

Carmon Elliott, the Pittsburgh resident who filed the lawsuit, has vowed to appeal the decision to the U.S. Supreme Court

Looks like I struck a nerve. Notice at no point have I attacked Trump. As I said, Sen. Cruz is a good man and great Conservative and doesn’t deserve one iota of your attacks. Shame on you and the others here that drag his name through the mud.

Yes, Ted IS a citizen, but he is NOT a NBC and is therefore INELIGIBLE! And he KNOWS this! In a 2011 or 2012 interview, given in Texas, he said that a NBC is someone who has TWO American citizens at birth and born on American soil!

Now that he is running to be the GOP presidential nominee, he has changed his mind about what the Constitution says...some "CONSTITUTIONAL CONSERVATIVE"...NOT!

Struck a nerve?

You’re lying your ass off. Yes, I’m going to respond to that.

I didn’t drag Tead through the mud. Tead got down there and wallowed in it all by himself.

He has destroyed any chance of my and many others ever supporting him for higher office.

I wouldn’t support him for my local PTA leadership.

Thanks.

What’s even funnier is that you think Ted Cruz was in the Senate when Roberts was confirmed as Chief Justice. I take it you were a strong supporter of David DewCrist, that paragon of Conservatism, when he ran for the Senate in 2012 ? Amazing all the deranged DewCrist nutters popping up out of the woodwork these days.

I strongly disagree with you and disagreeably so.. HOWEVER I love that cartoon... I almost spit my cookies out when I saw it.

Trump will not accept Ted as his Veep. Already said so, because Ted is NOT Qualified as an NBC. And Ted will not be reelected in Texas. He did not disclose his foreign legal status to his constituents, right up until he rescinded his Canadian Citizenship 20 mos. ago in 2014.

Ted Cruz, Constitutional expert really said that:
“Two citizen parents and born on US soil.” when asked what made one a Natural Born Citizen?

Well, I’m sure one of his resident supporters has a satisfactory explanation for that embarrassing admission. They usually provide extra special pleading on behalf of their guy.

In fact 2nd Division Vet said the exact same thing at that time, when it was Obama, along with all the rest of them.
Oh, Vet ...

Ted wants me to consider him to be a good enough judge of character, that he should be the person selecting SCOTUS nominees.

Here we have an example of Ted being woefully in over his head.

Ted is the one who hired Roberts to work for Bush in 2000 Florida. Ted is the connection, and was instrumental in placing Roberts on Bush's radar.

Does it matter if Ted was in the Senate during Robert's consideration? No. Did I say he was in the Senate during Robert's consideration? No.

Since you don't trust my word on how stupid Tead was to support Roberts nomination, here. Maybe you'll accept this idiot's comments on the subject.
