From his career in New York real estate to his extraordinary campaign for the White House, the court of Donald Trump has operated much like that of Louis XIV of France: everything revolves around the imperious, bouffanted Sun King.
He is a total narcissist, and what you see here is the way hes always been, said a source intimately familiar with Trumps way of working, who declined to be identified criticising a potential president. This, between you and me, will be the destruction of the United States.

I think he is not trusting of just anybody without a history.
Not about narcissism, that just exposes a hack wrote this.
Trump is about both common sense and business sence in a cut throat world.
Narcissist: me, me, me; I’m always great; nothing is ever my fault. That’s what I see in Trump; other’s don’t.
The Guardian? Yeah, right.
I notice the number of Trump is a total narcissist and emperor in waiting stories are increasing. The last dash attempt by liberals and establishment conservatives to scare people into not voting for him.
Then you must see it in Cruz too!
Were they this verbal when Obama was running??
Narcissism is the new “phobia”. you know islama, transgender xeno etc.
Some of us have a bit of narcissist in us. I know I do.
Helped me turn around a 70 person graphics center in a year.
From disaster to well oiled machine.
Anyone care to debate the points raised in the article? Or are the comments going to be more along the lines of “La-La-La I can’t hear you?”
It’s the ‘gravitas’ factor of the week.
Right. Rascist, sexist, bigot, homophobe are getting worn out from overuse.
Now it’s narcissist (has Trump ever taken a selfie? Millennials have him beat) and “authoritarian.”
It is interesting, because others see it in Obama. But Libs give him a pass while admitting that it seems to be all about Obama. Well, what do you expect from anyone who wants the job?
Trump does say he is doing it because he feels a calling. I am not sure Obama ever said the same. But wh;en it comes down to it, I am willing to try Trump’s brand of narcissism. Maybe it will all be about him, but just maybe it will be about the country.
” Trump being surrounded by uncouth, combative and ignorant yes-men is a problem. “
Not a problem. He hasn’t got any Cruz fanatics on staff.
Would’ve appreciated some media concern about a total narcissist in the White House say, around eight years ago or so.
Also notice the difference in speeches. Obama has a world record use of “I” but Trump often uses “we.” “We are going to make America great, etc.” It’s subtle, but it’s there.
Time to change our bingo cards :)
It would seem that if all of us had NO narcissism in us, there would be no original sin, or much sin at all for that matter.
And a little of it can make a strong leader.
Giuliani was a narcissist. He couldn’t give a @#$ about Sharpton or Jackson or whomever. sometimes, it’s an advantage.
Disregarding Article II Sec 1 of the Constitution he claims to revere comes close.
He knows what natural born citizen really means, but is taking advantage of the fact that the Kenyanesian Usurpation was successful.
He puts his own ambition above the Constitution.
How is it Trump deniers can accept the loutish, vulgar hatred of Obama’s presidency and consider Trump somehow more dangerous?
