DePaul University students, don't fear! There will be no more political "chalking" at your school.
Apparently, someone wrote - with chalk - on a campus sidewalk last week: "Make DePaul Great Again." The message sent students and staff into a tailspin. The xenophobia! The bigotry! The racism!
"While these chalk messages are part of national agendas in a heated political battle, they appeared on campus at a time of significant racial tension in our country and on college campuses. DePaul is no exception," DePaul's vice president for student affairs Eugene Zdziarski wrote in a campus-wide email obtained by Campus Reform. "The university has been addressing campus climate issues in an effort to provide an inclusive and supportive educational environment. In this context, many students, faculty and staff found the chalk messages offensive, hurtful and divisive."
Mr. Zdziarski cited the school's nonprofit status, which prohibits students from engaging in political activities that could be reflected as the university's "views or opinions."
So no more political chalking allowed.

Who thought we would see “Chalk-free Zones??” Eh maybe there will be CC licensing required for chalk—or a 3 day waiting period to buy it LOL
Their much self-touted “inclusivity” does not include much.
I saw Trump 2016 in chalk at the University at Buffalo, and shock, people just left it there. I wanted to take a picture of it but my daughter was touring the school and told me to just “blend in”. Buffalo is also 20% foreign students and nobody seemed offended. Shocking.
Grads and alumni should be ringing this University President's phone off the hook because of how ridiculous and damaging it is to their degrees and degree programs to be associated in garbage like this.
Having observed and actually read (with some assistance) that chalk sign, hundreds of snow flakes flocked to their safe rooms, covering themselves with large stuffed “Bernie” dolls while the awaited their hot chocolate.

This is where the self-esteem movement has led us. You speech and any other methods of communication will be controlled by how much it offends others self-esteem. If they can control the chalk, they can control everything.
