Plattsburgh was founded by Zephaniah Platt in 1785 after he was granted the land by George Clinton. In granting land to Zephaniah Platt of Poughkeepsie, New York - who went on to establish the new city of Plattsburgh to buffer emerging American interests in the Saint Lawrence River valley and Lake Champlain valley after the American victory in the American Revolutionary War - the centralized American authority proclaimed the area including and surrounding the old French trading areas and Iroquois settlement to be refounded as the settlement of Plattsburgh in 1785.

At any rate, the ERC reference is to the same person, source of transposition error could be the same mistake I made (Edward is first name), or just mechanical transposition, see "teh".
Bixby bridge. One of my favorite places on earth. Lonely. Breathtaking. http://www.hdwallpapers.in/walls/bixby_bridge_in_big_sur_california-wide.jpg
Good morning nikos, good morning everyone... it’s a new day in America, (or at least it’s about to be) and how about that Gala last night in NYC?
The speech by Trump was very interesting- to say the least.
I have a thorough construction background, having worked in residential, commercial, industrial and heavy highway construction disciplines for over forty years, so when I heard Trump describe the failing construction projects he personally turned around, I could really relate to the successful outcomes, and what that entailed, especially when he got into the details. The great thing about Trump, is that he has a knack for explaining himself, and anyone in the room could grasp the points of his stories, whether they had a construction background or not.
The gross incompetence (waste, fraud, and abuse) occurring on the projects discussed last night by DJT, owing specifically to the government’s mismanagement (and likely corruption) with relation to two of the projects, were excellent examples of a private citizen with savvy leadership skills turning around decades old publicly funded money pits.
The Wollman Ice Rink languished in an incomplete stage for nearly nine years. Trump described the system used to make the ice- it was one of copper piping filled with freon, embedded in the concrete rink floor. The deficiency in the system was that if a leak of sufficient size developed in the copper piping, the freon could leak out rendering the system at a minimum inefficient, therefore more costly to operate, and at worse inoperable. Consulting with an owner of a professional hockey team in Canada, DJT was put in touch with an expert ice maker, that advised Trump to use a rubber hose system, which when embedded in concrete was far less likely to leak, and instead of freon, a liquid saltwater (brine) solution is used as the cooling agent to freeze the surface water of the rink.
Additionally, during construction- the contractor was of such gross incompetence that the concrete slab when poured, was out of level by nine inches from one end of the rink to the other, resulting in water so deep that the system could not freeze the water where it pooled. This fatal flaw required the slab to be removed and re-poured to rectify the out of level situation.
The long and the short of it is that Trump completed the project in one year.
I’m reminded of the story about NASA spending an astounding amount of money to come up with an ink pen that could be used in zero gravity. The Russians solved the problem by using pencils.
Not quite an apples to apples comparison to the story about Trump getting the job done, unlike the government, but when a government agency has a near inexhaustible source of funding- in this case the taxpayer, and there’s no consequences for incompetency, chances are incompetency will not be dissuaded, and continue as the norm, perhaps even bringing rewards to those most responsible for the incompetency in the first place.
Does that ring a bell with anyone?
In another instance, Trump told the story of a project called Ferry Point, that had been underway for 28 years. I don’t remember all of the details but if one was to watch the replay, the details could be gleaned from it, again Trump took a project that was essentially a disaster with the government’s imprimatur, and with his leadership skills turned the project around in an astounding time frame.
I’ve been up too long (early) and I’m starting to fade fast, so I’ll just say the Gala speech was one of the finer speeches DJT has given- to date, and is worth your time.
Also, Corey Lewandowski was interviewed on FOX BN, just moments ago, and does and exemplary job of telling his side of the story. Definitely worth tracking down to watch.
OK time to take a breather and get some Donut Shop coffee in me.
Good comments!! Thanks!
Howdy Kit cat!
I guess he only wants to be ethnic and declare the Hispanic/Cuban part of his genes when it furthers his ambitions some how.
GOOD Morning DAVEY!!!!
Just reread the new article up on Trump Indiana efforts and realized. Early is confident of a Trump win. Apparently the sCruz supporters are too as they are not working on his election but getting delegates support on the second ballot. (It won’t be necessary Trump in One)
Would love to see Indiana be the state to put him over the top. How close will be be ?
God Morning freepersup!!!
How appropriate REC. just add a k

Hoosiermama I would LOVE for your state to put Mr. Trump over the top also!!!
That was fun and funny - some good chuckles. Thanks for sharing! I sent it to some of my friends and family.
GOOD MORNING
I thought since we will be on this Trump train for a while se need some fighting music. It doesn’t hurt to prepare ahead for the convention.
So I’ll start this out with my Scottish Fighting song: ENJOY

I put myself into the eyes and mind of a New Yorker listening to Trump last night, and I would have felt proud as punch. Those two or three nasty Cruz ladies at the Kelly group were obnoxious.
Trump spoke eloquently....(does anyone else notice that he virtually NEVER uses a vocalized pause, unlike our guy in the WH who is the Ahhh... Ahhhhh....Ahhh... kid? O’Reilly last night had no script, and every other word was “Ahhhh”
No one wants to give this man credit.
And like you, I picked up the details. The story about the ice rink was amazing. The gov’t gets a guy to hire 400 men to sit on their butt, they run out expensive copper, pipe Freon through it, which won’t work if there’s a pin hole leek..., and he calls the Canadian Hockey Team and they get the thing leveled and perfect in six months.
Same concept for building a dam.
You've hit on a good point - Cruz is running a "second ballot" race, and crowing about it. It will take awhile for the general public to recognize the strategy for what it is, playing inside pool in order to overcome popular preference. I don't think it's "wrong" to play inside pool, and being public about that could work in favor of some candidates, in some races. But I don't think it works in favor of Cruz, because a big part of his pitch has been that he is working against the insider game.
LOL!
<<< <> >>> But I really REALLY think he will surprise us all and pick someone NOT on these lists now <<< <> >>>
Me too! Thanks! (lets all agree that it’s OK not to have to answer every single ping- but kudos if you do, and maybe- just maybe... if you do- you’ll get a surprise toaster in the mail, or a fake Trump hair piece)
I like Allen West. (red meat) GRRR!
