So, free speech just died at DePaul....
what a silly country we’ve become
Mrs. teletech’s Alma Mater speaks.
When chalk is outlawed, only outlaws will have chalk.
Can there be political chalking in response to anti-Trump messages, however?
I was in college during the anti vietnam war demonstrations in the 70’s. If such a ridiculous decision like this were declared the entire campus would have been covered in chalk. Conservatives should be just as non-compliant as the f’in hippies.
Depauls vice president for student affairs Eugene Zdziarski is little different from any other brown-shirted book-burner.
Why a know-nothing anti-intellectual like Zdziarski thinks that he actually belongs at an institution of higher learning is a bit of a mystery. Apparently he is somewhat lacking in the “self-awareness” department.
But maybe we can find him a job more suited to his temperament. “Nanny” comes to mind.
The pro-Trump chalking has nothing to do with “significant racial tension.”
It is political, not racial.
Until DePaul tries to equate it racial tension. At which point Depaul become guilty of making fraudulent allegations, with the intent of stirring ‘racial tension.’
Dr. Zdziarski comes to DePaul from Roanoke College in Salem, Va., a private liberal arts college with approximately 2,000 full-time students, where he served as vice president for Student Affairs and dean of students for over five years. Before that, he served as assistant vice president and dean of students for seven years at the University of Florida, with a student body of 50,000. He also served as associate director of student life at Texas A&M University, where he worked for 15 years in various roles serving nearly 50,000 students.
Gene is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, earned his master’s degree in education from the University of Tennessee and received his Ph.D. in educational administration from Texas A&M. He is a nationally recognized expert on campus safety issues and has co-authored a book on crisis management.
Gene was recently named a 2014 Pillar of the Profession by Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA), and received the John Koldus Award for Distinguished Service to NASPA in 2008. He is known for his commitment to collaboration and fostering students’ academic achievement.
In other words just another liberal “pilar” POS!
As Donald JR would say, whining “from the participation trophy crowd”.
Trending on Twitter sometime soon - virtual pro-Trump chalking of the DePaul sidewalks, buildings, and even the backsides of any Anti-Trump person who makes the news (and thus becomes fair game). Easy to Photoshop and attach any picture on a tweet, so we just need a good hashtag to go with this:
Ideas?
#EatMyChalkDePaul
#WeShallOverChalk
#ChalkDePaulForTrump
#Liberty&Chalk4All
#FuchalkYouDePaul
Anyone else have a better idea for this hashtag?
This is just a programming campaign to slander Trump by equating his very name with hate speech.
That such brazen, crude tactics actually work with college students shows how far down the hole we’ve fallen as a culture.
Pray hard.
censorship
