John Kasich bantered with Haredi Orthodox Jews about which biblical figure was most significant and other lessons from the Jewish Bible. [ ]
The story of the people are Abraham and God made a covenant with Abraham not Moses! Kasich told Ezra Friedlander, a Haredi lobbyist who was escorting Kasich through the heavily Haredi neighborhood.
Friedlander had tried to explain that for Jews, Moses is considered the most important biblical figure, and more important than the patriarchs, because he brought the law to the Jews.

Ok, I understand your point.
My mistake.
I’m fully aware that Jesus was a direct male descendant of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Sorry if I somehow gave you another impression.
That said, he was also a direct blood descendant of one Moabite and three Canaanite women. The apostle and writer Matthew, himself a Jew, specifically names them in his genealogy of Jesus. Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, and Bathsheba. Matthew 1.
That is unusual, but also prophetic. There is meaning in what Matthew wrote: both Gentiles and women would be considered fully members of Jesus’ new tribe, the church.
Islam, IMHO, is a religion fabricated by Arab raiders sometimes in the 7th century , a mishmash of elements of Judaism and Christianity. Maybe there was a Mohammed, but there are few non-Muslim sources to substantiate what the Muslim tells us about him, The Koran tells us very little, except that he was an excellent poet.
The generic name is Israelite. Jew refers primarily to those Israeites who remained faithful to the House of David and worshipped at the Temple in Jerusalem, both the Temple of Solomon and the one rebuilt after the exile.
