Ringo Starr won't be performing in the Tar Heel State. The former Beatle has just canceled a concert scheduled for June in Cary, North Carolina, citing HB2, an anti-LGBT law signed by Gov. Pat McCrory that has drawn national outrage.
"I'm sorry to disappoint my fans in this area, but we need to take a stand against this hatred. Spread peace and love," the 75-year old singer-songwriter, drummer, and actor said in a statement first reported by ABC News on Twitter:

If he has a wife, daughter or grand daughter, I hope she gets accosted in a ladies room by a male perp. The only way these libs learn is to feel the pain.
Ringo Starr? Didn’t he used to be somebody, before he became nothing at all?
Yup...
Did Ringo have to refund all five tickets? Who needs Springsteen as well?
Good.
The day the music died was the day that the mopheads got off that plane at Idlewild in 1963.
The Beatles’ music arrived at virtually the same time that President Kennedy was shot. That early music was upbeat and hopeful and probably helped us to shake off what was going on in the outside world. Dunno how old you are but maybe you had to be there to appreciate their impact. I liked their music up through Rubber Soul and Revolver, but after that I found a lot of it to be unlistenable.
Now we have added Fiji Hill and Old Grumpy (not me but the other Old Grumpy). <p.
Maybe Yoko Ono will pinch hit for Ringo and dance the Dance of the Seven Veils. That’ll teach North Carolina.
Remember the scene at the Toga Party in Animal House when a toga clad John Belushi is going up the stairs past an ohhhhh so sensitive lad strumming a guitar and singing "I gave my love a chicken that had no bone?" Remember Belushi stooping on a dime, turning with a look of disgust and contempt on his face and smashing the guitar to smithereens? Those were the good old days!
Culture quiz:
Shelby Cobra or Volkswagen bus?
Jack Daniels or Turkish Red?
Marlboros or Vegetarianism?
Showers or soaplessness?
Natalie Wood or Natalie Maines?
It was a big step down from the song that preceded it at Number One on the Billboard Hot 100:
There! I've Said It Again--Bobby Vinton (1963)
But I like the original a lot better:
There! I've Said It Again--Vaughn Monroe (1945)
Doo-wop and the Philadelphia sound were around when I was a kid. Never was a fan of surf music. I liked some folk music. Beatles were good but I preferred a lot of other groups at the time.
A VW bus was my first car. An AC Cobra was only a dream.
Coors in high school. An oatmeal stout on the rare occasion that I drink anything. Turkish Red sounds like the pot flavor of the month.
Marlboros when I smoked. Close to a vegetarian now for health reasons.
Showers. Two a day when I was still working.
Natalie Wood.
Believe me, I saw them coming off of that plane.
Well the Byrds were more to my liking, but there’s some good Beatles tunes on Rubber Soul and Revolver.
I saw Ringo and guests at the Britt, he was great, really, really good!
That being said, he’s an ass...
Ed
Nah, the Beatles were great...

Nobody else will date me; Mrs. JimRed wouldn't permit it! BTW, I still can't get their stupid commercial jingle out of my head:
"For fifteen cents, a nickel and a dime,
at Burger Chef you eat better ev'ry time..."
:^D
There are men dressed as women in ladies bathrooms frequently. It's never been a problem. Most women don't even realize it.
The problem is the perverts who want to go into the showers and bathrooms with women and then claim they 'felt like a female' when they're arrested trying to video the women.
