Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly has been a national leader of the conservative movement since the publication of her best-selling 1964 book, A Choice Not An Echo. She has been a leader of the pro-family movement since 1972 when she led the fight to defeat the Equal Rights Amendment.
Phyllis Schlafly is 91 years-old.
On March 11, 2016 conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly endorsed Donald Trump for President at his St. Louis rally.
But not everyone in her organization, Eagle Forum – or her family – agreed with Phyllis Schlafly’s decision.
Last week Phyllis Schlafly released several board members for disloyalty to the organization. The group was planning to hold rogue board meeting to take over the Eagle Forum.
Today the rogue Cruz supporters attempted a coup.
They held a non-sanctioned meeting and blocked Phyllis Schlafly from their conference call.
This email was sent out Monday afternoon.
St. Louis, Missouri:
“At 2pm today, 6 directors of Eagle Forum met in an improper, unprecedented telephone meeting. I objected to the meeting and at 2:11pm, I was muted from the call. The meeting was invalid under the Bylaws but the attendees purported to pass several motions to wrest control of the organization from me. They are attempting to seize access to our bank accounts, to terminate employees, and to install members of their own Gang of 6 to control the bank accounts and all of Eagle Forum.
“The members of their group are: Eunie Smith of Alabama, Anne Cori of Missouri, Cathie Adams of Texas, Rosina Kovar of Colorado, Shirley Curry of Tennessee, and Carolyn McLarty of Oklahoma.
“This kind of conduct will not stand and I will fight for Eagle Forum and I ask all men and women of good will to join me in this fight.”

If the board members are acting according to their bylaws it’s not a “coup”.
If Obama were impeached for violating the constitution, it would not be a “coup”. It would be justified.
It’s how lawful people wrest control from the unlawful.

Now they attempt to stage a coup by holding a private meeting not following the dictates of the bylaws of the organization (which inevitably require that the President call the meeting and requires notice to the membership of the meeting so their views can be heard and so the membership can know what the board is doing).
Apparently the other board members feel PHYLIS has flipped her lid and is no longer representing the mission the Eagle Forum represents, based on the Trump endorsement i understand their concerns, before any of you Trumpers get excited it could very well be that Phylis took it upon herself to endorse Trump without the consent of the rest of the members. Don’t waste your time getting all pumped up till you know the circumstances.

Phyllis directly says they are not acting according to bylaws, but are holding illegal meetings, placing their own people in key positions illegally, attempting to purge non-Cruzers from group, and seize control of bank accounts.

It is absolutely imperative that, after the convention, the republican party unites around the nominee in an all out effort to save your republic. Failure to do so will mean the death of that republic.
I fear the future but I am preparing for it.

What if Shlafly had endorsed Bernie Sanders instead of Trump? Would it be o.k. for her conservative board to try and wrest control from her to re-establish the purpose for which the group was founded?
If your answer is “yes it would be o.k.” then really there is nothing immoral, illegal or unjust going on here. It is simply something you vehemently disagree with. That is o.k. but it isn’t “cheating” or “crooked”.
Like the Colorado results, when some legitimate action doesn’t go the way of the Trumpsters, the first thing they do is pout and cry like babies and say “No fair! You’re cheating! Whaaaa!”
I stopped taking the Cruzers seriously back when they were calling me nasty names when I pointed out that, contrary to Cruz's lies, he was supporting legalization of illegals even as recently as March 2015. Cruzers claim Trump is a con man and that Cruz is a true conservative, but Cruzers follow a confirmed liar and amnesty-pimp like the cultists they are.

Par for the course. This Cruzer thuggery has been going on for a while. Right before she endorsed Trump Cruz put out this BS gaslighting press release implying that the Eagle Forum was endorsing HIM. Gestapo tactics indeed.

But they were not, as the article said. And, it is clear that they didn't. No notice meetings not presided over by the President are virtually nowhere legal meetings. There is a uniform nonprofit corporations act adopted by virtually all the states and the district of columbia in some form or other which covers most of these things.
