Cruz Attacks Matt Drudge [AUDIO]
Daily Caller ^ | 4/11/16 | Steve Guest

Posted on 04/11/2016 4:21:10 PM PDT by markomalley

Sen. Ted Cruz claims that Roger Stone, The Daily Caller Men’s Fashion editor, “decides” what Matt Drudge posts on his website Drudge Report.

In an interview with Mike Slater on “The Mike Slater Show” Monday, Cruz said, “If people want to get on the “Trump train,” they can. I actually think we need real and meaningful solutions to the problems in this country, and as president my focus is going to be on three things: jobs, freedom and security.”

Slater asked Cruz what he thought of the Drudge Report and the Texas senator replied, “Look, Drudge Report over the years has done a good job highlighting the excesses of the left and the excesses of liberalism, and about the past month the Drudge Report has basically become the attack site for the Donald Trump campaign.”

“And so every day they have the latest Trump attack. They’re directed at me. It — by all appearances, Roger Stone now decides what’s on Drudge, and most days they have a six-month-old article that is some attack on me, and it’s — whatever the Trump campaign is pushing that day will be the banner headline on Drudge.”

“By the way, they no longer cover news. Remember they used to have things like election results? They don’t put those on Drudge anymore. When we win a state, suddenly the state doesn’t matter. You know Colorado — there was no red siren on Drudge when we won all 34 delegates in Colorado. That wasn’t news, because — I mean listen, that’s fine,” Cruz said.

Later Cruz said, “My number one priority is bringing jobs back to America, raising wages for everyone, making it easier for people struggling to achieve the American Dream. That’s my focus. And I’m going to let others worry about the silly political game and the circus.”

It wasn’t some Senator who blew the story about Lewinsky open.

Nice choice of verb for a sentence concerning Lewinsky...must've been inadvertent on your part.

Hint: "DON'T think about pink elephants!"

There was an election. Voters showed up to vote on delegates to the state convention weeks ago. Same thing that happens at all caucuses. They just didn’t have an official presidential preference vote, they let the delegates themselves say who they were supporting.

Trump has 80 percent numbers in the caucuses

LOL. You been snorting the fairy dust again? Or breathing too many rainbow unicorn farts?

Are you serious? Go look at the caucus threads. 80 percent is the usual number for Trump every day.

Cruz thinks he has Salem Media and doesn’t need/want Drudge. What he’s gambling on is that Salem won’t abandon him...they’re not exactly real Cruz fans...having supported other more centrist establishment hacks that Trump forced out, before being left with only Cruz to endorse.

Stone was quoted in both National Enquirer stories and the rumored Rubio story had something to do with a hotel, which wasn’t even mentioned in the Enquirer. All the crap NE threw in about 5 mistresses and sex in broom closets did not come from Rubio.

In other words, so far it’s Trump 37%, Not Trump 63%.

That’s because unlike FR, Colorado can’t ban Cruz voters. Also most Cruz voters, like myself, decided it was a waste of time to vote on the FR caucus thread. Unlike the tRump supporters we are actually doing what it takes to get Sen. Cruz elected President of the US, not prom King of FR.

Drudge is full-on in the tank for Trump big league. Cruz does not have the option to “need/want” Drudge. Drudge turned into an anti-Cruz attack dog weeks if not months ago. Cruz is simply telling the truth about what is obvious reality to all Drudge readers by now.

Hate to see what’s happened to Drudge. I used to rely on him.

Apparently he’s become a tool of Roger Stone and his little girlfriend has joined in.

Stone was quoted in both National Enquirer stories and the rumored Rubio story had something to do with a hotel,

Stone was quoted as being asked about the affairs by National Enquirer, not identified as a source. And, no, you are lying as usual. All sources identify team Rubio as being privy to affairs. The hotel video montage is just an extra detail.

Drudge had Romney loyalists working for him in the last primary. This one may be the same or it may be simply that Trump headlines get Drudge more hits and more ad money. He wants a Trump presidency so he can make money off it. Sickening.

You're a liar, so I'm not sure I actually believe you. You just wanted to misdirect from the fact that Cruzers are a small and desperate minority on FR.

Cruz is no longer disliked. He is despised.

I think Cruz has always been despised. As his senate colleagues.
