I know a lot a people do not want to hear it, but this is probably the sentiment up and down the CIA, and for good reason. Nobody at the CIA wants to be left holding the bag again. Last time they found out that the American people did not have their back in this regard. After our phony displays of patriotism after 9/11, the American people quickly returned to form. At first we said go get them, but quickly made at 180 and savaged the intelligence agents and military personal who were doing what was necessary. I do not blame them now, if I was in their shoes, I would not stick my neck out again either. They do not trust us, the American people, for good reason.
