In his first Sunday show interview since taking on an expanded role in Donald Trump's campaign, Paul Manafort was quick to raise questions about the tactics Sen. Ted Cruz' campaign is using to secure delegates.
After being asked whether threatening delegates is fair game in the hunt for the 1237 required to secure the republican nomination, Manafort responded, "It's not my style, and it's not Donald Trump's style … But it is Ted Cruz's style." He then called the Cruz campaign's methods "Gestapo tactics, scorched-earth tactics."
"We're going to be filing several protests because reality is, you know, they are not playing by the rules," Manafort said.
But Manafort, who has advised republican presidential campaigns going back to Pres. Gerald Ford, would not outline the rules he is playing by either. When pressed on whether paying for a delegate's golf membership or trip to the convention was in the realm possibility he answered, "Well, there's the law, and then there's ethics, and then there's getting votes. I'm not going to get into what tactics are used."

But he's running Trump's only PAC, right? If Cruz is coordinating directly with his PAC's as you guys claim, why wouldn't Trump be coordinating with Stone, one of his longtime friends, in an effort to intimidate delegates to do their bidding?
He is, after all, working with his good friend David Pecker to fabricate stories about the personal lives of the other candidates in an effort to destroy them. Trump isn't the boy scout you want to believe he is.
Yeah he said it and all the tap dancing won't change the context or meaning. Everyone understands exactly what he was communicating. Instead of whining and complaining about Gestapo tactics (being employed by his good friends) and not being treated fairly, Trump should be creating the infrastructure that would lock in his support instead of trying to save his way to prosperity. The Art of the Deal is being outplayed and it is kindergarten compared to what Hillary and the DNC are going to unleash on him.
Only Roger gets to say what he meant, he said what he said and gets to define what he meant. You are committing a logical fallacy called strawman.

Wow, Roger is a good liar. It was clear from his original statement what he meant. Only the most ardent consumer of Kool-Aid would believe the walk back by Stone. This is what happens when you are a shoot from the hip campaign with little discipline and not enough infrastructure. Stone leads Trump’s PAC but should remove himself from the public eye. The media are going to rip Trump to shreds over these sorts of miscues in the general election. Urging others to go after delegates in their hotels is not how you win friends and influence people....outside of the 35% of Republican voters that will continue to support Trump. 35% of 40% ain’t gonna cut it in the general.
At this point, what difference does it make?
“We’ll tell you who the culprits are and we urge you to visit their hotel and find them”

You know that your screed was devoid of sense or sensibility?
Your candidate was a democrat just a few years ago. He is friends with the Clinton family, and just hired a professional to do all the same things Sen Cruz has been doing all along, which has been part of the political process for decades.
If Trump loses, it will be Trump’s fault. He had every opportunity and all the access needed to put this one away. He chose not to. The “outsider” just hired is a hard core insider to fix his failings. Don’t you think a real super-manager would have done it sooner...like at the beginning?
Trump has said so many bizarre things, and not just the stuff from the past. But you have had access to all that information for a long time. But I guess you misspelled skeptic as denier.
Vote for a NYer with a recent liberal history. Don’t take my word for it, the information is easy to find. As I said to another here, I take Rudy’s opinion for a lot, but I would not vote for him as president either.
