It looks like Ted is getting a taste of his own medicine. CNN reports from Lansing, Michigan;
Ted Cruz suffered a rare convention loss Saturday after delegates backing John Kasich and Donald Trump boxed him out of key positions in the Michigan delegation.
The Texas senators campaign ran eight delegates for eight committee spots and lost every one, alleging it was double-crossed by Kasich supporters.
The Michigan delegation picked one Trump supporter, Matt Hall, and one Kasich supporter, Judi Schwalbach, for the two seats on the powerful rules committee. The Cruz campaign lost votes for both seats.
The rules committee seats have become highly coveted prizes for their role in shaping a contested convention in Cleveland. After the delegates are selected in each state, they meet as a group and pick the members of four convention committees, the most important of which is the rules committee, which will ultimately decide who can be nominated president.
Michigan Cruz leader Saul Anuzis said they were double-crossed by Kasichs campaign. The Kasich delegates were supposed to vote with Cruz delegates, he said, but switched sides and voted with Trump behind closed doors Saturday afternoon.
Kasichs delegate director in Michigan, Jeff Timmer, said the Cruz campaign broke their end of the deal when they tried to win all eight delegation seats.
He said they finished their slate of Trump and Kasich candidates about 10 minutes before walking into the delegation meeting.
The Cruz campaign tried a takeover and they failed miserably, Timmer said. It backfired and they ended up with nothing. Theres been all these reports about how theyre out-organizing everybody. Not here.
Trumps national delegate director, Brian Jack, called it a big win for Trump.

Nice (almost) lip syncing.
It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Well, when it comes to shenanigans, ambulance chasing sounds like it’s right up Ted’s alley.
If he only wins on a ration of 2/8, he won’t be in it long.
They’ll bounce his arse for a good attorney.
I know but it makes old footage sound better.
If the old folks making good music had today’s sound, it would be not too pretty bad.
Sure he can.
Trump can work a deal with Kasich and Cruz will be back in the senate
shutting the gov down ever 6 months.
Okay Cruz fans SUPPOSEDLY Cruz says he supports the notion that it’s going to be him or Trump. Wouldn’t it follow that both of them would want delegates on the rules committee that had similar goals and aims? Yet there seems to be a discrepancy here. They don’t seem to have the same goal. I can’t see any other conclusion other then Cruz is working for the establishment to manipulate the rules and have a Ryan type step in.
Cruz did not lose delegates. Those 8 won’t be on some kind of committee. That is 8 out of 2475. I think they can handle that.
[RINO scum (that means Kasich) helping Trump ping.]
Yep. Trumpers are supporting a RINO establishment ticket of Trump/Kasich over a movement conservative of Cruz/Walker ticket.
Thanks for posting this. Some good news at last, which I sure needed after my experience at the sham MO district caucus today.
You’re a gem.
The Bronx stop is playing quite nicely in the rest of America. Cruz was brilliant to bait a demonstration of New York Values for all to see.
Louisiana, Arizona, Iowa, Wisconsin, COLORADO, Indiana...but you guys got one. Congratulations.

Who cares? If any candidate undermines the will of the voters, they can count on not receiving my vote.
Wow. Glad they are fighting back now!
I just noticed you look like one of those Contract Trumpbots infiltrators. You from Macedonia too?
“Louisiana, Arizona, Iowa, Wisconsin, COLORADO, Indiana...but you guys got one. Congratulations.”
Yep, I was feeling kind of bad for the Trumpbots, we’ll let em have one in MI, and learn never to trust Kasich again.
On a brighter note — this just in: Ted Cruz wins all 13 delegates at the CO state convention today, giving him a complete sweep of all 34 CO delegates.
There are 330 million people in this country.
Just proves the point about new York values.
And it’s just beginning. More will be coming to make Cruz’ life a literal Hell which is where he belongs.
