The St. Louis County Republican Caucus was held today at the Missouri River Township Caucus at the Westminster Christian Academy – near highways 40 and 270 this afternoon.
Lloyd Sloan was at the conference today.
Here is his firsthand account:
There were two slates that were voted on today at the convention. One was called “Cruz” and the other “Trump.” So there was no confusion there. The vote took place by a public count. It’s when there is a standing vote and everybody is counted off. It is pretty above board. The vote was tied, 27-27. But a few people in the center of the room did not vote. One guy got up and voted for Trump. So Trump won the standing vote.
I proposed a motion to combine the two slates. The chair chose to ignore my motion. It was seconded but the chair, Mark Dunn, decided to ignore the motion.
At that point the chair entertained a motion to do a secret ballot because he was a Cruzer and the wrong guy won. The motion was presented by the head of the Cruz delegation who put together and submitted the Cruz slate. It was seconded and voted on.
And, surprise! Cruz won the secret ballot!
At that point I led a small group of Trump people from the room, saying, “You wanted a divided party. You got one.”
The delegates plan to contest the results. We are collecting evidence to show what exactly happened.
I saw what I saw. I walked out. It was highly irregular.

It was no toss up in TN. NO. We call it a FIX. As in FIXED election by the RNC for CRUZ.
Thanks for the INFO. TN did not end up like we voted as the actual ballot had had both the candidate and the delegates to elect. The delegates names were listed plus who they supported. We voted for TN Rep party types who backed Trump plus at large types who backed him on the ballot. That was a done deal until the April 2 meeting on 21st Ave in Nashville near Vanderbilt.

From the very beginning I said Trump/Cruz and if Not Cruz then Trump. I never said I would never vote for Trump. And each and every one of you who condemned my comment here can go look it up.
The ONLY way Trumps gets the nomination is if he can beat the establishment at their own game. That means going to Texas, Wisconsin and Cruz states and taking delegates away from Cruz. Which is Pretty much what I said in my post. All of a sudden, everyone here became whiny little liberals. “Cruz is cheating, Cruz is a liar, Cruz is in bed with Goldman Sachs, Cruz cheated on his wife.”
This is how the game is played. There are no rules. And it is dirty, very dirty. If Trump hasn’t figured it out yet, shame on him. If he actually thought that his popularity would carry him over the top, it is going to be close, but he probably should consider putting the spatula away and taking out a gun, since he isn’t winning this knife fight with the tools at his disposal.
And again, i am advocating Trump fight fire with fire. Two wrongs may not make a right, but this is politics and it is brutal. And if Trump cannot handle it, maybe he should step aside because as far as I can tell, Cruz wants it more than Trump wants it. Trump hired one of the best in Manafort. Time to release the Kraken Mr. Trump.

wife and one iof my sons said for certainty that there is no way they will vote for cruz, and one of the neighbors down the road has said he won’t either.
More and more people are seeing cruz undermine the voter for his own personal gain and it is making them sick and detest cruz.
What is even more pathetic is how cruz voters on here think cruz can win FL which we need.
There I no way on this earth cruz would ever win FL and yet these cruz voters just can’t seem to grasp that little fact.
It is wrong to assign to Trump a delegate that is loyal to a candidate other then Trump over the objections of Trump. That is just plan wrong. That you are OK with doing this means you are the problem.

Yes, Cruz cheats and lies. Yes, this so-called “honorable man” doesn’t give a crap about honor. He tweets out lies about Carson AND Rubio, and refuses to recant even when it is denied by those campaigns. I can forgive him the first, not the second. He encourages his PAC to send out pictures of Melania, then does not disavow in any serious public way. (He gives a very quiet, halfhearted disavowal then carries on). He sides with the violent protestors in Chicago against Trump then blames Trump.
You guys deserve every bit of crap that is headed your way.

I think what Cruz is doing is getting delegates to pledge to him on the second ballot. He knows he has no chance on the first ballot. Cruz’s whole campaign is based on somebody else not getting it on the first ballot. Otherwise he is screwed.

Teb Cruz and his Cruzilums, no honor, no ethics, no integrity. Gonna be a war at convention, Americans have had enough, they are demanding honor, ethics and integrity.

Cruz is not stealing anything. He is doing what all alert, intelligent candidates have done for decades.
The fact that Trump was not so alert is one of the hundreds of disqualifying factors that will keep him out of office.
Cruz is our only chance on every level of every subject. We must have his deep grasp of the responsibility of the office.
His deep experience at keeping Bush out of trouble puts him head, shoulders, hips and knees above Trump.
