The St. Louis County Republican Caucus was held today at the Missouri River Township Caucus at the Westminster Christian Academy near highways 40 and 270 this afternoon.
Lloyd Sloan was at the conference today.
Here is his firsthand account:
There were two slates that were voted on today at the convention. One was called Cruz and the other Trump. So there was no confusion there. The vote took place by a public count. Its when there is a standing vote and everybody is counted off. It is pretty above board. The vote was tied, 27-27. But a few people in the center of the room did not vote. One guy got up and voted for Trump. So Trump won the standing vote.
I proposed a motion to combine the two slates. The chair chose to ignore my motion. It was seconded but the chair, Mark Dunn, decided to ignore the motion.
At that point the chair entertained a motion to do a secret ballot because he was a Cruzer and the wrong guy won. The motion was presented by the head of the Cruz delegation who put together and submitted the Cruz slate. It was seconded and voted on.
And, surprise! Cruz won the secret ballot!
At that point I led a small group of Trump people from the room, saying, You wanted a divided party. You got one.
The delegates plan to contest the results. We are collecting evidence to show what exactly happened.
I saw what I saw. I walked out. It was highly irregular.
Ted Cruz lost Missouri to Donald Trump.

Hey Booba Pinhead, thanks for that photo of Ted crying because Trump has 50% more delegates on the up and up.
<<< Ted will outsmart everyone. He can finish 1st place if he just keeps collecting the delegates.. >>>
He sure can.
AND, Cruz to Lose, in November.
Wonder what retirement package the $o# was promised by that DC Cartel he railed against, before they became his BFF?
So much for the people's vote, eh?
Hey Booba Pinhead, or is that just him thinking about New York and the New England states coming up in ten to seventeen days?
Dear Past.... The Rules were subverted.
Get it?
Roberts rule would state that the chair recognize the motion made and seconded on the floor, not ignore it and make another motion.
Those are the rules of the game and to disregard them is stealing delegates.
A Secret Vote.
What a novel idea. A person can vote their convictions without being intimidated by name calling and demagoguery.
That’s one reason I don’t like caucuses. The initial vote was 27-27. Someone didn’t vote in the initial vote, and then shouted out his vote. Sounds like someone didn’t want to vote initially, but once prodded voted. I’d prefer a secret vote always.
I’m voting for the nominee, but really have a problem with caucuses and open primaries.
He’s so smart he will hand the election to the democrats.
Trump should sue after he calls him names and lights up twitter for two days.
If it was done it legal. Trump should have none something before he started his campaign besides I am so rich, I hire the best people (where is the proof), polls, polls, wall.
You get my vote, because Ted will never see one from me.
I’ve stated I wouldn’t vote for the guy for the local school board.
I wouldn’t support him for a deacon in my church.
“(Cruz: The truth with a smile.)”
My wife realized that whenever Cruz would rail on about Trumps positions at a rally, after he got his expected applause, he would crack a peculiar grin. She said he looked like he was nervous or even a bit scared, out of character for sure. Before she knew the exact positions of both candidates, she told me he was lying. She even called it Teds Guilty Giggles
Full of it, much? Glad your caucus had a fine day.
The one in question did not.
Good point. Trump finally caught on to how the game is played- woefully late. That is why he hired Romney's delegate wrangler, a seasoned political operative and a close associate of, you guessed it, the sleazy Roger Stone.
Trump's lack of forethought should trouble his supporters. If he can't manage the delegate process, how can he manage a country? I guess his reliance of consulting with himself didn't pay off this time.
When you break the rules to get ahead then enforce the rules to stay ahead. Got it.
#inTrumpedent.. Learn how it works, #artofthelose
Too damn bad! To Cruz and his bots!
Stalinist.
I don;t care. Your kind are going to pay and find yourselves kicked out. Count on it.
Your kind have people pissed now and will regret it bigtime. It’s coming.
