A Secret Vote.

What a novel idea. A person can vote their convictions without being intimidated by name calling and demagoguery.

That’s one reason I don’t like caucuses. The initial vote was 27-27. Someone didn’t vote in the initial vote, and then shouted out his vote. Sounds like someone didn’t want to vote initially, but once prodded voted. I’d prefer a secret vote always.

I’m voting for the nominee, but really have a problem with caucuses and open primaries.

According to the account, the tie was resolved before the secret ballot motion.
