Ted Cruz, the man who believes god wants him to be president
Daily Express ^ | April 8, 2016 | Chris Roycroft-Davis

SENATOR Ted Cruz may be dubbed the most despised man in Washington but he is certain God wants him to be the next president of the US.

snip

What is disconcerting is the paradox that such a religious person as Cruz can attract such hatred. If you think hatred is a strong word this is what Cruz’s college room-mate says of him: “I would rather have anybody else be the president of the United States. Anyone. I would rather pick somebody from the phone book.”

In case the US did not get the message, Craig Mazin – now a scriptwriter – added: “Ted Cruz will become the thing you need him to be so that he wins an election. No principles, no moral centre, no values. Just ambition.”

snip

Ted GETTY, Trump's senior policy advisor said said Cruz was a Wall Street globalist

The dawning realisation that it could be Cruz prompted Trump’s most senior policy adviser to tell an audience in Wisconsin: “I’m going to tell each and every one of you the real truth about Ted Cruz. He is a radical Wall Street globalist who will rip the beating heart of manufacturing out of the United States of America.”

Strong stuff. Trump weighed in this way: “He’s a nasty guy. Nobody likes him. Nobody in Congress likes him. Nobody likes him anywhere once they get to know him.”

snip

When asked which politician they would like to run for president many people who have worked with him closely say anyone but Cruz.

One political strategist who worked with Cruz in George W Bush’s campaign office tweeted that: “If a truth serum was given to the staff of the 2000 Bush [campaign team] an enormous percentage would vote for Trump over Cruz.”

Had to look it up.

It's a very old phrase (19th century and earlier) with a meaning that's the OPPOSITE of what it seems to mean. In fact, it has nothing to do with coolness at all. It SEEMS to mean that a person is cold, because (of course) butter always melts in your mouth. BUT: in fact, it means somebody who appears to be all nice and sweet and kind, and is actually a horrible rotten person.

Still not sure why you'd think this, though.

Cruz has always been principled, has un unshakeable moral center and lives by conservative values- his entire life proves what the leftist roommate said is false.

“Cruz’ principles don’t include honesty”

It amazes me the amount of lies that Cruz spits out. I expected the MSM to do it to Trump, but in comparison, they they have been much more balanced.

This is a chat forum and thread starters are chat facilitators, not chat controllers. So I think your notion - of thread starter equating to teacher and all who respond are students who are supposed to stay strictly on the topic the author intended - is misguided and not applicable.

Quoth Cruz:

"Any candidate is responsible for the culture of a campaign."

He spoke those words as an attack-from-the-left on Trump, blaming him for the Chicago riots.

But they apply to him just as much as they did to Trump.

The "culture" of this campaign comes from the slimeball Jeff Roe, and Cruz owns any slime that oozes out of Roe's operation.

Trump gets around that by relying on shady guys not officially associated with his campaign, like Roger Stone and David Pecker.

Cruz has always been principled, has un unshakeable moral center and lives by conservative values-...

Hahahahahahaaaaa! How funny is that?

Teddy Bare is a smarmy lying' lawyer. Nothing else! He has presented a Communist Chinese tire company found guilty of stealing tire designs. He lost the appeal (not so good as you thought?) Or, how about representing a drug company found guilt of overcharging and price fixing, where again, he lost the appeal.

Teddy Bare's principles are all green and it is nothing about environmentalism. Teddy is about the bucks. He has NO PRINCIPLES! He is a LYING sleazy lawyer. He is playing Obama's game to try and win the POTUS job, but he doesn't even bother to do the job for the Texans voted. He has NO PRINCIPLES except what Teddy Values. He is a phony, holding up his Bible and proclaiming his faith. Lying' Teddy! Trump calls it right!

VOTE FOR THE WINNER. VOTE TRUMP!

VOTE FOR THE WINNER. VOTE TRUMP!

VOTE FOR THE WINNER. VOTE TRUMP!

VOTE FOR THE WINNER. VOTE TRUMP!

...While at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, Cruz represented Pfizer in a lawsuit brought by a group of public hospitals and community health centers who accused the drug manufacturer of overcharging. The Supreme Court eventually threw the case out.[71] Shandong Linglong Rubber Company was found guilty of marketing versions of tires that were based on blueprints stolen by a former employee of a Florida businessman and ordered to pay $26 million to the Floridian. Cruz worked on the Chinese company's appellant brief. The appeals court denied the appeal and affirmed the jury's award.[72] Cruz represented drug manufacturer B. Braun Medical Inc. in front of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit after the company was found guilty of wrongfully discharging a former employee. Cruz asserted that she had failed to prove that B. Braun had directed her to violate the law and that she had not presented sufficient evidence that her refusal to violate the law was why she had been fired. The appeals court rejected Cruz's argument and affirmed the $880,000 award.[72] Cruz represented Toyota in an appeal to the Texas Supreme Court in an statute of limitations case, where a judge wanted to investigate Toyota for contempt after a former Toyota in-house lawyer accused Toyota of unlawfully withholding documents in a product liability case.[73] Cruz unsuccessfully argued the judge's jurisdiction expired thirty days after the case was dismissed following an out-of-court settlement -https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Cruz

From Bearing Arms.com date 3-4-16- During the Republican primary debate last night, Donald Trump was hit repeatedly for flip-flopping his positions, sometimes within 24 hours. Politico notes that one of those "flips" was reversing position on his prior support for banning the civilian ownership of common semi-automatic rifles and pistols that Trump and his fellow Democrats have long demonized as "assault weapons."

Apparently Trump has recently evolved on the issue. And just because Cruz worked in the Justice Dept does not make him responsible for their policies. No sale.

Cruz is by far more honest than Trump. He also has better policies, a superior intellect, and excellent speaking and debate skills. He doesn't rely on insults, mockery, taunts, and name-calling.

His roommate is a leftist Hollywood writer of trashy movies. I'm sure that Cruz,a conservative Christian, annoyed the heck out of him. It seems to be a case of getting some public attention for the long ago connection. Sure has worked.

Repeating unfounded smear attacks is shameful. There is no evidence of any adultery by Cruz. I am sure there are plenty of sleaze merchants out there looking for it and not finding it.

“Cruz does not lie.”

Trump “wants to gut the 2nd amendment”

https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/second-amendment-rights

This position has been on this site since the day he started. Trump actually goes further that TED in that he wants a 50 state license.

So when Ted Cruz says “Trump “wants to gut the 2nd amendment”
What part of that ISN’T a lie ?????

“Being Christian and conservative in America earns unrelenting hatred”

Not really. Take a tour where I live, and there are churches on nearly every corner. And Christian families with four or more children.

What you said in your above statement is probably true for liberal hellholes like Chicago, Baltimore and Portland, OR.
