Cruz to O’Reilly: You ‘Defend’ Trump ‘A Lot’
Breitbart ^ | 4/8/16 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 04/08/2016 2:29:12 AM PDT by markomalley

Republican presidential candidate Texas Senator Sen. Ted Cruz told Fox News Channel host Bill O’Reilly that he defends GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump “a lot” on Thursday’s “O’Reilly Factor.”

After Cruz pointed to Trump’s donations to liberal politicians, O’Reilly objected that these donations weren’t made “as a politician.” O’Reilly then advised Cruz to have a press conference in Penn Station to see what has happened to it under Mayor Bill de Blasio (D).

Later on, Cruz argued there’s “liberal intolerance” in New York state, and stated that New York State Senator Rubén Díaz (D) told him that he knew exactly what Cruz’s reference to “New York values” meant, and that Díaz pointed to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s (D) statement that “extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay” “have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.”

O’Reilly responded that “Trump doesn’t subscribe to any of that.” Cruz objected that Trump does because “he funded it.” O’Reilly again said that this was done “as a businessman.” And “You can have two lives.”

Some of us have a problem with know-it-all ex pats.

Like General MacArthur? He spent the years from the late 30s to 1951 abroad without setting foot on American soil.

Kindly spare the readers of this thread the tedious observation that I am no MacArthur, I do not claim or pretend to be a MacArthur. I merely note that you can't even get your hate right.

When you ape your hero you ought to make sure that you have the party line down correctly. Trump cites MacArthur favorably. All you are doing with your passive aggressive and directly aggressive chauvinism is making it worse for Trump's campaign own vulnerability to charges of racism, chauvinism and know nothingness. You can't even get Donald Trump right.

Huh? 0bama was a community organizer, had zero experience for high office. Not in budgeting, payroll, design, work ethic, zero. He never ran so much as a popsicle stand. He spent his early days on apology tours and undermining the U.S. military and policy for the last 8 years, even ignoring input from the adult in the room, Robert Gates, whom he was damn lucky to have.

Trump may come from a prosperous family but he does not flout that. His children have had the benefit of higher education but they’ve worked for everything they had. Trump has hired thousands. so yeah, he has ‘built that’.

Absolutely no one except perhaps a high ranking member of the military, is prepared for the enormity of the task of defending the country. That is where a team truly needs to be built. Jeff Sessions is a good start. I am hoping that if Trump wins, he will get the support he needs to do that. We will need it.

What motivation is there to run for a thankless job when you have everything the material world can give? He is not owned by anybody and that is refreshing. Everybody has a piece of 0bama and it is obvious. I cannot comprehend your comparison.

Reality check: Donald tRump spends vastly more time viciously attacking Ted Cruz and everyone else than the other way round. All Ted Cruz does is talk about his susbsrantive policy positions.

So when both candidates in a business environment give money to liberal causes, one is a hypocrite and one gets a pass...

Got it...

By saying you're not comparing yourself to General MacArthur is just your way of comparing yourself to General MacArthur. Why not compare yourself to hippies fleeing to Canada to live during the Viet Nam War? I mean, if you want to do comparisons that are a little less pompous and egotistical.

The Donald's racism??? Maybe you should put down Der Spiegel and actually hear what he's saying. Like most New Yorkers, he was traumatized by 9/11 and wants - correctly - to limit uneducated, angry Bedouin males from entering into the USA to drain the welfare system and create havoc in our land. You would think given your location you would understand that.

Like General MacArthur

Unbelievable, now you are comparing yourself to General MacArthur? Are you in the Army of the United States serving your country abroad like General MacArthur? Talk about an overblown ego.

OMG....are you series? Actually read or watch the thing on which we comment? What world do you live in? That's not how it rolls on the internet! We look at the headline and post some knee jerk fragmented sentence talking point or look for a liberal mentioned in the article and do an ad hom. (ex. the next time you see Michael Moore referenced, tell a fat joke but never attack the substance of his argument)

Now please get with the program /s

Trump has a tax plan and plans on how he’s going to build the wall with Mexican money has just been released this week. Instead of spending time here, why not check out his website?

“If you had actually watched the interview”

To me it showed how little Ted Cruz actually stands for. He spent the whole time attacking Trump; O’Reilly had to push him for something positive. That’s the first thing you see in a lying, deceptive politician.

“you would have seen that which you say you yearn for.”

You don’t fool people with your phony Colonel Sanders routine. It doesn’t make you any smarter. You proved it with your observations.

If Cruz can’t even handle O’Reilly without coming across as thin-skinned, the MSM is going to have a field day with him if he wins the nomination.

MM:

PLEASE...step back from the rhetoric and engage [nathanbedford] appropriately.

Hey...I love he fact that Trump is stirring the pot yet, I’d rather see a Constitutional-originalist seated in the Oval.

That said, Congress still has the power of the purse!

[BTW: ex-pats don’t mean they are non-pats! Think “military deployment” and then...providing for the family.]

Appropriately? Who is he besides General MacArthur?
I’ll address him in any way I want as long as it’s in general accord with the rules of FR.

For a man who has named himself after the founder of the Ku Klux Klan, I’m amazed he would dare to accuse Trump of racism. What a laugh. As if you could be a racist while conducting a successful business in New York City for 40 years. You’d be out of work in a...well, to use the ultimate hayseed phrase ‘a New York minute.’

The comments on Ted Cruz have gotten beyond any reason or logic.

If this EXACT interview had happened with Trump, there would be celebrations and dancing in the street. Trump has made attaching “Faux News” a central theme in his efforts.

Trump fans are to invested in Trump’s Alinsky name calling.
