Cruz's reception in New York was chilly.
Back in January, Ted Cruz made the mistake of assuming the rest of America still hates New York. His dismissal of "New York values" didn't endear him to the Empire State — Governor Cuomo demanded an apology from Cruz, and the New York Daily News did what the New York Daily News does best — and as expected, the comment came back to haunt him as he campaigned in the Bronx on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, at a massive rally in Long Island, Donald Trump, who's polling ahead of Cruz in New York by a wide margin, used the senator's remarks against him. "Do you remember during the debate when he started lecturing me on New York values like we're no good?" Trump asked the crowd. "Folks, I think you can forget about him."

PA loves Trump too, I’ve talked a lot of people I do business with in my area of northeast PA, many of them blue color Democrats, and they all support Trump because he’s the only one talking about bringing jobs back and brining back clean coal. This use to be a really big coal area.
Originally Cruz was my top pick.

Instead he decided to smarmily badmouth them/us before coming to try to beg for votes.
(Not sure if I count as a New Yawker, but I did live there for a while and it was one of the best, albeit the most impoverished times of my life.)

Whereas the Cruz cult will eagerly worship at his altar, saying how wise he is for taking money and support from the establishment.

I dunno if I count as a New Yorker, but I lived there for a while and I learned to fall in love with the city and its people despite all the bizarre things going on there and the cultural leftism.

I can say, I would not knowingly do business somewhere if I knew my dealings would somehow support men who run organized criminal enterprises that murder, extort, beat folks to a pulp. Gotta have a conscience, w/o it, anything goes.
I've not made billions and it is in question whether the Donald is as wealthy as he bloviates. Besides, he grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth. He doesn't know what it's like to be an average working man. He’z throwing out soundbites to whip up populist support. Come on.
Trump had access to special avenues of financing as a young man though his daddy's connections you and I would not have access to. He then inherited hundreds of millions and a company...then changed the name to, Trump Enterprises.
The whole notion Trump built his wealth from ground up is absolutely absurd. I've made a point to live stream his events, T.V. interviews, town halls and tune into the debates. Donald can hardly articulate a thought. He’z just not that bright. Further evidence of this is his sophomoric attacks on anyone who challenges him.

People everywhere are disgusted by politicians. And what disgusts me MORE are their supporters who happily defend them when they insult good people. NY is full of great people, so there is no “truth” to what Cruz said. He was trying to elevate himself by insulting Trump - but he insulted NYers instead.

That's GREAT news. Stuff like the 20,000 to 30,000 Democrat crossovers who voted for Cruz the Unipatsy in Wisconsin's Waukesha County on Tuesday won't happen in New York. :)
