“Some of the solutions are fairly simple i.e build the wall.”
True enough, but since Trump has already indicated he is willing to negotiate on that I am less optimistic than you that he will follow through.
Of all the terms I would use to describe Sessions, “Congressional dealmaker” would not be one of them. His popularity among his colleagues is only infinitesimally greater than Cruz. Which is why I like Sessions so much. I would put the greatest likelihood for VP as Kasich and have said so for at least six months.
We will have to honorably agree to disagree. I think that Trump’s thin-skinned irritability will likely weaken our defenses, and given his desire to diminish for example the First Amendment so he can more easily punish his critics, I do not see him favorably in either context.
That’s how his delegate mathematician Barry Bennet has it figured.
Here’s some background on Barry B:

Lincoln won the GOP nomination in 1860 at a contested convention. Nothing is being stolen from Trump. If he doesnt seal the deal on the first ballot, losing the nomination on subsequent ballots isnt theft.
You may now continue with your illogical emotional whining and threats about what Trump will do if he loses.
A good fact to point out in the history of party nominations for presidential candidates.
Today however, there is instantaneous communications available between voters and delegates. To say that the voters desires will be ignored also means that the parties can be ignored too and if anything has been proven in American Politics and History is that Change happens all too frequently.
Of course on the other side of that coin are the sayings:
“Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.”
“More things change, the more they stay the same.”
Still hoping for Hillary to be in jail rather than the nominee.
True. It’s the new definition of ‘ground game’. ;-)
Ping!
If true, this was the eGOP’s spoiler plan working. However, NONE of the remaining candidates will beat Hillary so we’ll have 2008 all over again where millions of voters refused to vote for McInsane so Zero won. Same with Kasich or Ryan or Cruz. Millions wont vote for them so Hillary/Bernie will win.
The eGOP would rather lose at this point than allow Trump to win. Trump isn’t a member of the eGOP and they fear that. These political parties are about themselves and not America. Screw the EGOP. I won’t vote for them State, local, or federal.
How would the nomination get “stolen” from Trump if he does not get the necessary delegates?
A lot of people, including Democrats hate Hillary. Bernie is just as likely to win. if Hillary gets indicted, Bernie wins.
Bernie will be harder to beat than Hillary. The old, shriveled feminist Dems that support Hillary will bite the bullet and vote for Bernie over any Republican. No so much true for Bernie voters... so would abstain from voting out of sour grapes if Hillary wins — especially the enthusiastic young voters for Bernie.
Destroying the party has been his goal along.
On the contrary. It is the hysterical never Trumpers, many of whom support Cruz, that are destroying the GOP. The natural reaction to Never Trump is Never GOP.
Could be rough night down ticket for the GOP in November if Trumpers follow the Romney rule and write in their candidates.
Thanks for the link jjotto.
This sounds more like Trump was expecting a yes answer before he asked anyone.
Sort of like me telling my buddies on Monday I asked to use Dad’s car this Friday but I didn’t know that Dad needed to use it instead.
Not lying but jumping the gun. Looks like he found a work around. Of course, as a Trump supporter, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt on this.
Out of curiosity, are you in favor of the TPP?
You're exactly right. During this election cycle, a lot of crap has been exposed that some of us never knew before. Both parties are corrupt to the core.
“If Trump is that close, he will win on the first ballot with uncommitteds and released delegates. “
Exactly. Trump only needs to make up the short fall and that is so easily done it’s ridiculous.
So five votes short is not clear but one vote over is? OK..keep playing the GOPe rules and enjoy years of one party rule because the Republican party will be dead.
How would the nomination get stolen from Trump if he does not get the necessary delegates?
Because there is no other viable national candidate. Trump will have won by far the most states, most of the important battleground states and the popular vote. No other candidate is in that universe. Period.
Hey, if Donnie Orange can’t get 1,237, nothing is being “stolen” from him. Of course, destroying the GOP to make way for President Hillary was his plan all along.
No, that Cruz Supporter Bishop Romney’s “never Trump” plan. You’re known by the company you keep, FRIend.
