Rudyard Kipling wrote a prescient poem in 1919, called "Gods of the Copybook Headings.". This is, simply put, a must-read poem.
Copybooks were texts that allowed British schoolchildren of the time to practice penmanship, and the phrase they would copy -- often a phrase of a sermon, or some wise aphorism -- would be featured on the copybook heading. Kipling was appalled by the counterintuitive modern thoughts of the day, and wrote the poem to point out how eons of wisdom and experience of humankind were hard-won, and he urged us not to embrace the depraved 'shortcuts' we began to take.
Like Kipling -- though lacking his talent -- I, too, urge us to take stock of where we are. Are we in open rebellion with morality and common-sense? Are we in a pitched war with reality? Have we become a Demonic America?
Take yourself back ten years, and (except for the last item, which is older) ask if you would have physically struck a future-you that claimed that any of the above would come to pass.
I know I would.
There can be no doubt. We are in the clutches of great evil. Common sense has been thrown aside for bizarre and absurd conclusions that fly in the face of 2000 years of civilization, and the ideals of decency that surrounded us.
I have not even discussed other forms of evil, such as the Administration's betrayals of Israel -- including an implied threat to shoot down Israeli aircraft that would have struck Iran's nuclear facilities. There are so many other examples, too numerous to list. It all comes together to inform us that this is Satan's time, a time of unbridled evil.
Back in the 1970's and 1980's, I used to listen Iran call us the 'Great Satan' with a combination of derision and bemusement.
Now, I actually wonder... is that what we have become?
The feminization of the military horrifies me-—and I’m a woman.
We are doomed if this continues.

Indeed. God is the only answer. However, I am just coming off an argument with a Freeper who argued that NO. There is no place for religion or morals or Godly values in our laws.
I daresay most Freepers feel this way. Let’s see if they show up.
Go to the bottom of my home page. You will see the demons I battled, and claimed victory over.
The whole world has gone to hell IMO. Pretty sure it’s not going to get any better.
It is why I read Romans, which is eerie in how well it applies to modern times.
I always say, “I don’t believe squat.” ... but this has got to get to you.
You said the word, “I mean ...” . That’s what it’s about in my terms, meaning. All these words and images, all these beliefs ... they do have meaning!
Foolish.
Some have said you are insane.
I fear you are quite lucid.
I know that its not near as bad as its gonna get.
30!
I like the wrath of the awakened Saxon.
Well, there is a plan.
It’s all laid out for us.
Good wins, eventually, but not until mankind endures horrible tribulations.
The world has been stood on its head. This is not the America I grew up in and I could never have imagined it a few years ago. Celebrating the mental illness of Bruce Jenner and a rainbow WH in defiance of God and civilization are unbelievable. There is so much wrong.
I feel I am both.
They certainlyEEE are
Lol. I guess I should ping him.
No, I would not have thought these things would come to pass, in my lifetime, and probably not really ever, if I’d thought of some of them. Not when I focus on the actual issues which have come to pass.
But I did always know that things would get very bad, very evil, with the passing of time, because of Bible prophecy. It was just beyond me to see the forms the evil would take, these things were too unimaginable. I had more in mind other things which are coming to pass, the erosion of our freedom, the whole Big Brother scenario, etc.
I knew sin would escalate, I just somehow never figured state-sanctioned sin like we already have into my thinking.
America doesn’t seem to figure in Bible prophecy, I don’t know if we pass from the scene in some one or few cataclysmic events, or just the snowballing slide into officially and societally-sanctioned sin and the loss of God’s blessing and protection, which will affect our status as a global economic power.
I mainly wonder how bad it can get before Christians are out of here-Christians in other places have been enduring much worse persecution for a much longer time, and still the Blessed Hope hasn’t happened. Maybe the US was to be one of last signifiers of adherence to Biblical Christianity before it happens, we have to self-destruct first, I don’t know.
Ten years ago, you would have slugged future-austingirl for speculating this is how it would be.
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing paint.
Laz, America decided to allow a few to erase the taboo structure of our Republic. Just fifty years ago, if someone erected a statute of Baphomet with children adoring him the next day it would be rubble. Fifty years ago a woman went to an OB-GYN for medical saving which sometimes involved in terminating a pregnancy that was doomed, dooming the mother. Fifty years ago a Texas criminal politician rose to power by manipulating black people, even before a majority of black children grew up in homes with no male around. Fifty years ago Americans were patriotic without shame, and it was a sign of maturity to be self-reliant and responsible for your behavior. Fifty years ago, America still had a taboos structure to society, albeit the façade was already starting to crumble, by design.
